·        Managed a group of 30 individuals (directly or indirectly) to the successful implementation of a multi year, multi phase enterprise wide healthcare customer service solution. The product integrates with almost 25 other applications in the organization and provides a single information gateway to the customer support representatives. My responsibilities include delivering all the product phases, working closely with business for product implementation, deciding the product roadmap and influencing other business sectors to use this customized product.

·        Managed EAI/EDI IT group for all PacifiCare claims processing, eligibility determination and IT IVR management.

·        Managed a government welfare application development effort for Los Angeles County. Responsible for managing a team of 40 consultants to execute multiple projects simultaneously. Other responsibilities include working with executive sponsors for defining and implementing strategy, improving the delivery process, managing project budget and resolving client concerns.

·        A key member of the management team to develop and successfully implement a strategy to take full application development efforts from one of the ‘Big Five’ consulting firms.

·        Managed a 40 member team for an 8.5 million dollars e-business application development project (Websphere, J2EE, MQ series, Oracle).  Managed the application development efforts for a major health insurance company. Other responsibilities included managing the project budget, mentoring other project managers and communicating the project status to executive sponsor.

 

·        As a lead architect, I was responsible in designing and developing an Enterprise wide Application Integration (EAI) tool using Java, HTML, XML and Oracle Application Server. My other responsibilities included leading the team members towards a successful project completion.

Managed project’s financial and was responsible for resource management.

·        Managed Year 2000 compliance project for a major mid-western health insurance carrier. Served as an enterprise wide project manager for infrastructure hardware, software and network compliance from the Project Management Office (PMO).

 

·        Took an active role in developing the Year 2000 Project Management Methodology for KPMG.

·        Managed a team of consultants to migrate an IDMS database to DB2/CICS environment for a major mid-western distribution company.

·        Managed and provided technical leadership for the development of an automatic billing facility for a Government Health Care management System. This project involved designing EDI interfaces for HIPAA requirements. Result: Increased customer satisfaction and we won subsequent consulting businesses.

·        Managed a team of analysts to reengineer an educational package in PowerBuilder from LINC. This project required all the phases of Software Development Life Cycle and was developed in ISO 9000 guidelines. Result: Higher market share for CBSI and lower cost to maintain customer application.

·        Managed a team of analysts to develop recruitment management system in PowerBuilder.  This project was developed in ISO 9000 standard, and was selected as a prototype for future project development.

·        Served as an active member of corporate quality group, and was instrumental in creating the quality procedure for the company.

·        Offered courses in PowerBuilder, Object orientation, and C++.
