Some of the key accomplishments are below: SAP Network
Infrastructure and Application Security Design PepsiCo has a very
large SAP footprint and needed a security model to protect the environment.
The approach I took to design the solution was Defense-In-Depth. I designed a
layered security model by segmenting the network using a combination of ASA
5585 and Nexus 7K, creating support network host monitoring tools, and
restricting and redefining the access based on roles. SAP Application
Environment was compartmentalized based on the functions such as ERP,
Financial, SCM, PLM, and HCMP. Traffic was restricted based on
inter-application communication. This allowed an added security layer. Cloud Application
Hosting As part of the
Architecture Team, I evaluated several cloud offering including IBM Smart
Cloud, HP Helion, and AWS. I voted to use AWS based on the requirements
and ease-of-use, for PepsiCo to test the viability of PepsiCo application
