PacBase, COBOL, JCL, DB2, Mercury Quality Center, IMS Project Name: B & C Shares Remediation Role: Business System Analyst The broker-dealer
community, including the company, is currently under a regulatory review by
NASD on mutual fund sales practices pertaining to class B and C shares.
Main regulatory concerns revolve around whether investors were
‘inappropriately’ sold class B or C shares when they would have incurred
lower total expenses had they been sold class A shares. NASD is in the
process of firming up a methodology of compensating clients who could have
been potentially harmed (economically) by purchasing B or C shares (instead
of A shares). NASD is expected to take corrective/punitive action
against broker dealer firms. The purpose of this
project is to enable the company to effectively meet the regulatory issue on
B shares and C shares. Responsibilities: Involved in the
project as a System Analyst in elucidating user requirement from business
users and developing technical requirements to the impacted application
systems. Have done conceptual and high level design of mainframe
components in identifying the B and C share accounts. Have involved in

executed this project was awarded the Best Project title in the Rewards and
Recognition program of Infosys. NASD and SEC issued an
Alert in the beginning of 2003 because investors had not always received
breakpoints discounts to which they were entitled. This resulted in
investors potentially overpaying front-end sales loads The Brokerage ROA
Certification project developed a process/system(s) to calculate the ROA,
LOI, Repurchase Credits and Cash Invested for Advisors to determine the
client’s eligibility for breakpoints during the pre-sale process. The
Pre-Sale information for advisors was made available on On-Line Brokerage System
and for CSR’s via Windows Desktop application. ROA Phase II is
aimed at closing the gaps and making enhancements to the applications created
for or affected due to ROA certification project. Responsibilities: Responsibilities
include analysis, design and build of impacted application systems.

application system. Developed high level design and low level design
for the Tax Reporting system impacts. Coded and unit tested the Tax
Reporting system batch jobs and programs in suppressing shell accounts.
Developed the VB 6 desktop application retrieving data from DB2 brokerage
tables via ODBC to display pre sales information. Participated in code
reviews and walkthroughs. Have done SDLC documentation using Method1. Duration: 5 Months Technology: MVS, VisualAge PacBase, COBOL,
