AgilePoint’s solution is designed to enable business users to quickly implement and deploy cross-functional and cross-organizational business processes in the form of process-based applications, all while in an easy-to-use process-modeling environment running on their desktops using reusable business activity modules and executable functional parts built by IT. It has around 1300 installations worldwide in more than 25 countries.

 

Responsibilities:

·   Head of engineering operation and oversee development of the product as well as professional services projects in AgilePoint overseas offices in over 10 countries.

·   Work on the architecture of new features which are added to the product.

·   Work on architecture and design of comprehensive processes for enterprise level projects for BPM clients.

·   Designed the entire REST and WCF interface for the product

·   Designed the authentication system for the product using Microsoft OWIN Framework to integrate product with Salesforce, Windows Azure AD, ADFS 2.0 etc.

·   Lead the effort for cloud enabling the whole product and expose it as a hosted service in Amazon and Windows Azure

Description: Capital Insurance Group is a leading insurance services provider for last 109 years. The E-CIG 2.0 project has been undertaken to develop a state of the art insurance application which would help CIG to expand its business in other states as well as compete with the bigger names in the insurance industry. The whole insurance application is being redesigned from scratch keeping in mind the common infrastructure which would be shared between the web based and the smart client application. 

 

Responsibilities:

·   Contributed significantly towards the design of the new framework which is used by both web and desktop applications.

·   Integrated new technology trends like CAB, Enterprise Library 3.0 in the project.

·   Coding done using Microsoft Framework 3.0 for both web and smart client applications.

·   Working on estimation of the whole project conversion.

·   Handling the coordination of the offshore development team in India.

·   Documentation of the framework design and the requirement specifications.

·   Handling the coordination of overall deliverables, tracking of metrics and development of new tools and utilities to support the new infrastructure.

3) Cardinal Mall Development and Maintenance

Description: Stanford University is one of the leading universities in the world with students from all over the world. This project was undertaken to design student services website which would help the students to take care of their day to day work. This is an E-Commerce application which helps student place their orders online and handles the order processing and fulfillment following a simple workflow. 

 

Responsibilities:

·   Designed the architecture to support the new conference services section of the website.

·   Coding done using C# and Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 Feature Pack 1.

·   Design and maintenance of the product catalog.

·   Extended the business management tools functionality hosted in Bizdesk to help simplify the administration of the order processing and fulfillment process.

·   Provided estimation for the conference services enhancement.

·   Handling the coordination with the development team at Stanford and Terrace Consulting.

·   Handling the project reporting, coordination of overall deliverables, tracking of metrics and task allocation.

 

 

4) Fusion Infrastructure Development

Description: Fusion is the development program which will provide the world’s largest Policy Administration solution for Commercial Lines of Insurance for the Enterprise Customers. We were developing the single code base of Commercial Lines Policy which is compatible on z/OS (Mainframe) and iSeries (AS400) so as to equip CSC to deliver the single solution for Enterprise and Midrange customers which will be having overall a very low maintenance cost. Program is divided in overall 3 major projects. Currently Fusion Infrastructure project which is the first phase of development is underway. Infrastructure of Fusion program is the combination of two products of CSC, namely Exceed and Point. Chubb, a leading insurer in US is sponsoring the development project.

 

Responsibilities:

·   Involved in designing N-tier architect model using .Net/J2EE Framework.

·   Provide effort estimation of development of the new infrastructure pieces.

·   Design the interfaces between Fusion and our main legacy product called Exceed using Microsoft.Net technologies.

·   Coding done using Microsoft.Net C# 2.0 creating assemblies for the application. It also involved ASP.Net, JSP, Servlets development and maintenance.

·   Implementing the underwriting business rules engine webservice interface using VB.Net.

·   Handling the coordination of overall deliverables, tracking of metrics and development of new tools and utilities to support the new infrastructure.

5) Exceed Migration from .Net Framework 1.1 to .Net Framework 2.0

Description: Exceed is the largest enterprise product available in the Property & Casualty Insurance market. It’s a development project which is in its 5^th year of development. Exceed Browser, based on an open  source architecture and ACORD XML standards allows customer service representatives, agents, and customers to use a standard web browser to access core policy information and services. It is a project comprising of 300+ team members and has gone live with few insurance giants of North America and Europe like Hartford Insurance Group, PEMCO, Farmers, GEICO, Norwich Union (U.K), and Progressive etc. This project was undertaken to help our customers to move to the new version of .net without affecting their existing business practices.

 

Responsibilities:

·   Involved in designing N-tier architect model using .Net Framework.

·   Provide effort estimation for the conversion of C#/VB.Net classes to .Net Framework 2.0.

·   Run the conversion process and then manually handling the unconverted part.

·   Coding done using Microsoft.Net C#/Vb.Net 2.0 creating assemblies for the application.

·   Conversion of the business rules engine webservice to .Net Framework 2.0.

·   Coding of the new enhancements identified during user group sessions.

6) Exceed Rules for Claims Webservice Development

Description: This project was undertaken to develop a Microsoft.Net based business rules engine webservice in Exceed using which insurance companies would be able to customize their business processes. This webservice gave business analysts a tool of defining customizable rules based on industry best practices and is supposed to bring down the development/maintenance cost incurred on mainframe.

 

Responsibilities:

·   Involved in designing of the rules engine framework

·   Integrate Microsoft Visio 2003 using VB.Net.

·   Create new custom shapes for Visio to provide the rules design functionality in form of a flowchart.

·   Provide effort estimation of development of the new shapes in VISIO.

·   The designing and implementation of new custom shapes were done handling solely by me.

·   Coding for the builder assemblies for handling the design time functionality. IT involved designing a winform using vb.net.

·   Coding the runtime assemblies for handling the incoming xml request message and getting the desired rules output/

·   Code development, deployment, debugging done through Visual Studio.Net 2003. Code configuration done using Visual Source Safe.

 

 

7) Exceed Browser Development

·   Involved in designing N-tier architect model using .Net Framework.

·   I have been involved in this project from the very beginning and I have worked on all the 3 layers of Exceed architecture.

·   Requirement gathering and estimation for commercial/personal lines for claims and policy administration subsystems.

·   Coding the .Net assemblies to handle the business login on the presentation layer server. This was done using C#/VB.Net.

·   Designing the web development and user interface part using XML, ASP.Net, ADO.Net, HTML, XSLT, ASP, Javascript.

·   Creation of new stored procedures on SQL Server which were used to fetch data for presentation layer screens.

·   Coding XSL’s for handling the communication of data in form of ACORD XML from Presentation server to the mainframe.

·   Contributed to the coding of the host business logic on mainframes. The technologies involved in this were COBOL, DB2, JCL, CICS.

·   Development of underwriting, claims, billing and client subsystem.

·   Designing and development of an interface between a third party policy administration system and Exceed claims system which would help insurance companies to create claims on their in-house policy system.

·   I have successfully implemented the interface between Exceed and Business Objects 6.5 which is a data warehousing tool used worldwide.

·   Code development, deployment, debugging done through Visual Studio.Net 2003. Code configuration done using Visual Source Safe. Endeavor was used as a configuration management tool on mainframes.
