·               Worked with this multi-billion-dollar retail customer on expanding their SDLC, and their Risk

Management processes. 

·               Managed our onsite and offsite project development teams for this client.

·               Implemented a new solution to solve the client’s legacy product pricing challenges that resulted from a poor cube based mainframe design.  To remedy the problem, we built a new system in .NET using a bridge from .NET through SQL to the Mainframe.

·               Designed a new prototype Mobile Application in Android 4.4 for integrating with the client’s pricing systems.

 

Retail Industry    2011-2013       
(Role: Solution Architect / Project Manager: Location – Arkansas, US)    

Assigned to a $100-million-dollar account to help add entrepreneurial and agile common sense around our retail client’s waterfall methodology which drove projects to four and five year timelines for implementation.    

§    Drove the client’s Payroll and Finance teams to successfully architect and deploy the world’s largest local tax compliance system. The system was built by tying together DB2, Informatica, SAP, Infor, PeopleSoft, Lawson, WM Travel and multiple 3^rd party hosted systems like Service Engine and Travelocity into an advanced local tax and financial reconciliation system. These systems were inter-connected by DATAPOWER, AD, MQ, Message Broker, Web Sphere, IIs, Lombardi, and various other communication and work flow systems.

§    Managed multiple vendor relationships with project oversight and architectural oversight over a diverse team of 300 people across multiple companies over 2 years.  Mentored the Project Management team on SOW creation, Legal Compliance issues, and structuring our offsite relationships with vendors.

§    Implemented our QA/Architecture/PM/BA client center onboarding with our HR team – this process led all on-boarded resources through the client’s culture, environments, history, important people, and processes (1000+ total resources taught during my tenure)

§    Recommended, designed, sold, and got approved the implementation of a global vendor security authorization system with federated identity management.  Within six months, my team of 40 client and UST developers designed the retailer’s global vendor security/authorization system for accessing people management and role information for the company’s 1.6 million employees.  The system was successfully deployed in 2013 on top of Lawson and PeopleSoft.

Financial Services Industry [Fortune 100 Company] – 2008-2010 (Role: Application Architect)

§    Consulted to design the SMS Mobile Gateway that today supplies most of the US banking worlds SMS text messages.   The client had originally partnered with a third party in New Zealand for providing mobile Gateway services for all their banking clients. We were asked to review their partner’s products and upon our review determined it could not support the North American market.  We were asked to redesign a new router and gateway for the company, which today serves most of the SMS traffic that banks process.

§    Helped implement the client’s Mobile Money application that serves online payment information for debiting and crediting bank accounts across SMS and client banking

 

Animal Health Care Industry [Fortune 500 Company] – 2008 (Role: Application Architect)

§    Re-designed the customer facing business center with integration into multiple ERP systems for the North American and European Sales Divisions.  The application allowed customers to view invoices, statements, orders and payments for any accounting period occurring in the past two years flowing to and from TIBCO and the TERADATA system.

§    Created generic web services in WCF to be used by all corporate applications to get user information and credential verification for Federated ID Management.

§    Created generic JMS and HTTP services in C# for a variety of internal applications that supported SharePoint and other content management systems. 

 

Retail Solutions Industry – 2007-2008 (Role: Application Architect)

·               Architecture Design of the company’s next generation add-on Retail POS system C# .NET application focusing on high volume transactions greater than 60,000 per minute using SQL and TERADATA
