Acumen
Solutions, Inc.
Global
Services: (7/2007 – 10/2013)
As
a senior member of the Global Services Group, Ms. Quimbo served as
project manager, data architect, solutions architect, data migration lead,
senior business analyst, business intelligence specialist, and deployment
lead in software development projects and business development activities.
Comcast:
CRM Salesforce.com Consolidation (5/2013 – 10/2013),
Deployment Project Manager
Comcast
is one of the world’s leading media, entertainment and communications
companies. Their Business Services division has two instances of
Salesforce that were originally developed by Acumen Solutions in 2008 and
2010: one for Enterprise (ENT) Sales and another for Small and Medium
Business (SMB) Sales. The Business has been observing increasing trend in
their customers’ demand for mix of products from these sales channels. The
Business decided to consolidate these instances into one instance in order to
better support Sales Operations, provide flexibility in new product launching,
simplify system administration, and reduce software licensing cost. Comcast
Leadership explicitly requested Acumen Solutions for Ms. Quimbo to lead the
deployment of this project because of her previous experience in successfully
leading the development and deployment of these systems in 2008 and 2010.
As
the Deployment Project Manager for this project, Ms. Quimbo is responsible
for making sure that the more than 4500 users of the systems are transitioned
successfully to the consolidated Salesforce instance and the impact of
changes to business sales operations are minimized.
In
this project Ms. Quimbo leads a cross-functional team with members coming
from different areas: Business Operations, Regional Sales Offices, Comcast
University, Salesforce Team, Testing Team, and Data Migration Team. She
creates the deployment project plan, holds regular sync up meetings with
Business stakeholders, and provides technical oversight for the Business. She
provides weekly status reports and leads communication calls with Sales
Managers and Directors. She authors the As-Is/To-Be document, contributes to
the Deployment Newsletter, and leads coordination of the Trial Launch, User
Communication, and Post Deployment Support activities. She also secures and
interviews resources for her team.
Thermo-Fisher
Scientific: Corporate CRM Roadmap (4/2013 – 5/2013), Project Manager
Thermo-Fisher
Scientific is a global leader in manufacturing, selling, and providing
scientific equipment, supplies, and services. Their recent studies show that
customers experience can be improved by having an customer-centric sales
approach where by the Corporate Account group will have visibility to all
sales information across the different business units that normally do not
communicate with each other. To accomplish this, Thermo-Fisher brought in
Acumen Solutions to create a roadmap for a corporate CRM system that will
integrate six CRM systems in its business units. The project involved
prototyping of feature requirements, creation of a Solution Concept
describing the to-be system, creation of a Roadmap describing how the to-be
system will be implemented in phases in order to
As
the Project Manager for this project, Ms Quimbo lead the team consisting of
two fulltime Solution Architect and Business Analyst and a part time Senior
Business Analysts. She created the project plan, coordinated all activities,
supervised resources, held weekly status meetings and created status report
for client stakeholders, and managed the budget. Ms. Quimbo was very hands on
in the project because of her strong Salesforce and data integration
background. In addition to performing traditional project manager tasks such
as leading the Kick Off meeting and 2-day Discovery Workshop, she also
created the framework for the Solution Concept, created the Roadmap
documents, worked with stakeholders to prioritize and identify features that
will be prototyped, wrote major portions of the requirements, and created the
detailed Project Plan for Phase 1 of the proposed implementation project. The
client signed off of the proposed 3-phase implementation roadmap which
amounted to $1.1 million dollars over a span of 37 weeks. The first phase of
the implementation project began 2 weeks after completing the roadmapping
project. All project deliverables of the roadmapping project was completed on
time and within budget.
RR
Donnelley & Sons: ActiveDisclosure-Service Cloud (1/2013 – 3/2013),
Senior Business Analyst/Configuration Lead
RR
Donnelley launched a new product called Active Disclosure and wanted to use
Salesforce Service Cloud for product support and job management. RR Donnelley
hired Acumen Solutions to design and implement its Service Cloud application.
As
the Senior Business Analyst for this project, Ms Quimbo captured the functional
requirements, created the object model and process models, lead the
configuration of Salesforce Service Cloud, prepared test cases, created
deployment plans, and created the detailed workplan for configuration
activities. She installed and configured the Salesforce Service Cloud Console
and Live Agent, in addition to overseeing the configuration of standard and
custom Salesforce components for job management. Upon completion of the first
phase of this project, RR Donnelley will be able to track the progress of
implementations of Active Disclosure for new customers, have automated
workflows that create and assign tasks and send email alerts for servicing
customer requests, and have real time interactive customer support
capabilities using text messaging. All of these just in time with the launch
of their new product.
America
On Line (AOL): Salesforce Sales Cloud Enhancements (10/2012 – 12/2012),
Solution Architect/Project Manager
AOL
has an existing Salesforce application which it has been using for more than
5 years. AOL hired Acumen Solutions to implement several enhancements to its
Salesforce Sales Cloud application.
During
the first half of the project, Ms. Quimbo was the Solution Architect for the
project. As Solution Architect she captured requirements in user stories as
part of the Agile Methodology approach that was used for the project. She
created the high level design for five of the six requested feature
enhancements. She implemented all the Salesforce configurations, except the
ones that required complex Apex or VisualForce code development. She created
the deployment work plans for all feature enhancements.
On
the second half of the project, Ms. Quimbo was the Project Manager. As
Project Manager, she managed the Acumen-AOL project team during the UAT and
code deployment activities, coordinated the resolution of bugs, created
project status reports, and held stakeholder meetings and review sessions,
while at the same time working on the successful delivery of Hoopla 4 and
three other feature enhancements. The project was completed as scheduled. AOL
business and technical stakeholders were very impressed with the Acumen
Project Team. The AOL lead developer said, “Can’t believe that the Acumen
team was able to accomplish all of this in 8 weeks. It took us a year to
build the previous version of the AT Dashboard.”
Tyco
Fire and Security: Salesforce Global Sales Hub (3/2012 – 10/2012), Technical
Lead
Tyco
is a diversified, global company that provides vital electronic security
products and services, fire protection and detection products and services,
and valves and controls to customers in more than 60 countries. The company
has multiple subsidiaries in different regions around the world. Each region
managed its sales pipeline independently using Salesforce CRM, Siebel CRM and
other tools which make it difficult for executives to view, compare, and
analyze sales pipeline in different regions and worldwide. Tyco Fire and
Security hired Acumen Solutions to implement a global sales hub using
Salesforce where sales information from different systems is integrated
together and to create standardized sales pipeline reports.
As
Technical Architect of the Tyco Globasl Sales Hub project, Ms. Quimbo
designed the technical architecture, created the detailed designs, and led
the development and deployment activities. Her Team migrated and integrated
four regional Salesforce instances, Siebel, and flat files into a Salesforce
Global Sales Hub (GSH) instance using Informatica Cloud. Over 3 million
records with data from different languages, currencies, and time zones around
the world were migrated to the GSH and are being synchronized with source
systems on hourly and daily schedules. Tyco’s executives now have a
world-wide view of the company’s sales pipeline and can more effectively
manage their sales force and global accounts.
Senior
Service America Inc. (SSAI): CRM Portal Enhancements (11/2011 – 12/2011),
Solution Architect/Business Analyst
SSAI
is a non-profit organization providing employment and training opportunities
to seniors across the country. It partners with public and private
organizations in delivering services to over 10,000 disadvantaged seniors in
430 counties spread over 16 states through its sub-grantees program. SSAI
needed a more efficient way to manage its sub-grantees and distribute
information. Acumen Solutions initially implemented Salesforce in SSAI in
June, 2011 and prototyped a partner portal. The objective of this second
phase of the project is to fully implement a Salesforce Partner Portal
solution with single sign on feature.
As
Lead Business Analyst and Solution Architect of the project, Ms. Quimbo,
captured business requirements and made sure they are in line with the
project’s scope of work. This was critical since scope creep was an issue
with phase 1. She translated the business requirements to technical
specifications using user cases and user stories. She created detailed work
plans for the project manager. The project was successfully implemented after
Ms. Quimbo rolled off in December using the information that she provided the
Team. The new Salesforce Partner Portal is now accessible from the SSAI
website and serves more than 81 sub-grantee organizations throughout the
United States.

testing teams from SIT through BAT and UAT and then finally to BRT.
As
Solutions Design Lead, she was responsible for delivering the high level
design and system specifications for the three systems that comprised the
overall solution and also for ensuring traceability of system requirements to
business requirements. She organized and led a team consisting of technical
architects, systems analysts, quality assurance analysts, and business
analysts in JAD sessions to develop solutions for more than a hundred use
cases.
As
Lead Business Analyst, she was responsible for putting together the business
product requirements and business feature requirements, organizing and
maintaining requirements in DOORS, and creating business use cases. Ms.
Quimbo was also a major contributor to the Business Scope and Approach (BSA)
document for the project.
As
Lead Data Architect, she was responsible for the planning of data management
activities as well as the design and development of an integrated data model,
data dictionary for custom objects, report specifications, data audit and
reconciliation processes, and data migration. She was also responsible for
compliance with data management standards and ensuring data integrity. Ms.
Quimbo worked across organizational groups to gather data requirements,
develop system integration specifications, design data and report
specifications, develop data migration and data reconciliation strategy and
work plan, and direct activities of Analysts. She assists in transitioning system
support activities to production personnel. She developed architectural

Senior
Data Warehouse Architect: (June, 2004 – April, 2006)
Ms. Quimbo designed and
implemented a data warehouse for auto insurance loss (claims) reserve
analysis and reporting. Using iterative approach, she delivered a fully
functional Star schema with Type 2 Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) feature
within six months. She later enhanced the system by building error handling,
notification, and reconciliation capabilities using Oracle Warehouse Builder,
shell scripts, and stored procedures. Her skills in Oracle database
administration were instrumental in optimizing the SQL queries and database
structures of this 2-terra byte data warehouse. Ms. Quimbo fully documented
the system and ensured its compliance with Sarbane and Oxley (SOX)
regulations which governed publicly-traded companies like BWIG. The company
passed the annual SOX audit due in part to the robust reconciliation reports
generated from the data warehouse. Ms. Quimbo was given the Exemplary
Contribution Bonus Award for her efforts in building the loss reserve data
warehouse.
