Thought leadership around cloud has also been one of the areas where Jesse has deeply worked with customers to identify the needs and use cases for cloud technology in order to successfully develop strategy and security policy. This has led to successful AWS deployments as well as security policy around Azure and other third party cloud solutions.

Enterprise Architecture role working within a large healthcare environment. Introduced DevOps principals and automation / orchestration software to successfully automate network operations workflows and increased network stability by creating an alerting system for changes on all network devices within an enterprise of 3000+ hospitals and clinics. Supervised of over 50 engineers and architects.

u         Technically involved in the success of a 10 million dollar tech refresh of critical hospital infrastructure with minimal down time utilizing automation scripts to ensure reachability of end devices and dynamically migrate the configurations of legacy End-of-Life hardware with zero outstanding errors.

u         Proactively resolved end user application issues by setting of automated polling of network interfaces for errors and congestion.

u         Deeply involved in the merger and acquisition of new organizations, overseeing the migration to national standards as well as tech-refresh of aging equipment.

Global Cloud Xchange (Denver, CO 80222) 2012 - 2013

Post-sales senior network architect for the western hemisphere. Taking customer cloud and IaaS requirements and translating them into a high level design and implementation.

u         Customers were very large multi-national companies implemented, and maintained very complex cloud-based, WAN, and Datacenter networks.

u         Developed templates and standards for implementation engineers to use after primary and pilot sites were successfully migrated.

u         Automated provisioning of devices by writing scripts with network automation tools to create configurations, standardize testing, and document the network.

u         Implemented cloud hosting multi-tenant environment for customers.

SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT - NETWORK

VCE - The Virtual Computing Environment Company (Remote /Customer Site) 2011 - 2012

Designed and implemented Converged Infrastructure with Cisco networking, VMware virtualization and EMC storage within a vBlock architecture. Worked with customers to gather requirements, preconfigured equipment, and deployed equipment to customer sites.

u         Worked on auto provisioning scripts to increase speed and accuracy of deployment configurations.

u         Utilized industry standards and VCE best practices to provide a stable and robust converged infrastructure platform which exceeded customers’ virtualization and computing requirements.

SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER

The Trizetto Group (Greenwood Village, CO 80111) 2010 - 2011

Worked as tier 3 and tier 4 support for a large Health Care IT solution and hosting provider. Supported three large data centers with 7 additional corporate sites, over 60 managed customer sites, and hundreds of site-to-site VPNs.

u         Wrote provisioning scripts for Cisco 6509 to Nexus 7000 core migration with 0 down time supporting new technologies, such as VPCs, and increased 10 Gig ports density, resolve key differences in OS version and syntax.

u         Engineered and implemented the migration of one of our largest customers from redundant leased lines at each of our major sites to a robust MPLS infrastructure.  This increased the customer’s scalability and is estimated to decrease their annual service provider costs by over $200,000.

DATA CENTER NETWORK ENGINEER

USDA Forest Service (Albuquerque, NM  87109) 2009 - 2010

Major project initiative was the migration of over 1,200 sites from Frame Relay and Point to Point T1s to an MPLS / redundant datacenter architecture, as well as the tech refresh of equipment at each of those sites and day to day operational support.
