Global Server Architect and Operations ManagerFebruary 2005 – Current

I am responsible for defining the architecture of and long term planning of the global server enterprise for Hess Corporation. In this role I am responsible for defining strategy and setting standards for all aspects of server technologies, systems and services covering Microsoft Servers, SAN Storage, Vmware and other server related products. My focus is on architecture and planning and operational support. I am heavily involved in project implementations, especially those of a global nature. As a technical expert in server technologies, I manage the IBM Server, Storage and Vmware outsourcing teams in the resolution of critical and complex server infrastructure issues.

•          Develop and maintain server technology components of the IT Technology Roadmap.

•          Plan upgrades and new technologies to deliver against the roadmap.

•          Responsible for the design and implementation of key software products and technologies

•          Help define strategy, set standards and direction for technologies such as storage, servers and virtualization

•          Primary role was supporting over 140 Dell/HP/SUN Enterprise Class Servers in a mixed environment of HP-UX, Sun Solaris, Windows Servers, Oracle Database/Application Servers, Red Hat Linux and Citrix Server Farms.
