Achievement/Duties:

·         Completely architected and implemented an n-layer architecture web application to handle physicians’ accounts and patients’ test records. Highly secured system was successfully built and integrated with several 3^rd party systems. Languages and technologies used: C#, JavaScript, ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework, LINQ, WCF, Role-based security, Logging Framework, Unit Test, SQL server.

·         Designed and built a distributed task scheduling system to automate analysis process. It has several backend modules communicating between Windows and Unix servers (written in C# and Java) with front end ASP.Net MVC.

Achievement/Duties:

·         Contributed greatly to building the complicated multi-module, high traffic, multi languages, ecommerce web site to sell stock photos, illustrations and types. The system followed SOA architecture which had several modules, written in C#, loosely connected together. Technologies used were WCF services, ASP.Net MVC, LINQ, JQuery, Ajax and MS SQL database. The team adopted Agile development methodology with Scrum, Unit and Integration tests, automatic builds and deployment with cruise control.

·         Resolved some performance issues with SQL transaction, improved caching on Akamai for different locales, used membase/memcache for caching large amount of data to improve performance.

·         Completely designed & implemented an ASP.Net web application which was used to search for and order seismic, well and geological data. It was built with n-layer architecture; developed with VB.Net and Oracle database.

·         Trained staffs with new source control software Subversion to replace VSS. Demonstrated n-tier architecture by walking through the web app framework.

·         Designed & created new customized framework which followed SOA with UML & VB.Net. Also introduced Enterprise Library to the team.

Achievement/Duties:

·         Quickly learned the new technology the team was using to build the Support Bridge product (WTL, J2EE). Contributed great effort in stabilizing the product, which had intermittent bugs in a multithreaded environment.

·         Involved in designing and implementing some new features of the Live Automation product. It was used to provide remote technical support to customers via Internet. It had server side developed in Java (J2EE), client side developed in C++ (Win API, WTL) and MS SQL, Oracle database.

·         Involved in designing and implementing new Analyst UI, new multi-layer application framework with C#.

Achievement/Duties:

·         Produced an online registration and customer administration system using C#, ASP.Net and MS SQL server.

·         Designed and implemented a CRM system with live help, site tracking and technical support. The system was equipped with live chat, live visitor tracking, site statistics reports, email system, etc. This web application was implemented in Java using multi-threading technology, JDBC and Swings.

·         Designed and implemented a technical charting web site which had over a million page views per day. This project, which had several independent applications, was implemented in C++ and C#. Load balancer had been used to handle the high load.

·         Created a complete Online System Monitoring and Alert product which sent an alert when a web site, DNS, mail server went down. It also allowed creating uptime report, performance graph. This project was implemented in C++/Win32 API, ASP, VBScript, and MS SQL server.

Achievements/Duties:

·         Team lead in developing and maintaining a streaming stock quote and news system. This system had a backend of several server modules (implemented in C++/MFC/Win32 with socket programming, multithreading and client server technology) and Java applet as front end.

·         Built and maintained a database system of customer information, portfolios, exchanges, billing details, etc (Stored procedures, MS SQL Server).
