Consulting Enterprise Architect03/01/2014- Present

·              Led global teams for deployment of EA tools and practices around TOGAF and iServer repository tools.

·              Established company best practices for EA management and methods including global Architecture Review board and associated governance, charters and documentation on procedures and practices.

·              Lead group of architects on selection and deployment of Enterprise service bus (ESB) selecting MuleSoft to increase pace at which we can deliver integrations between systems and applications in a standard and controlled manner.

·              Delivered on numerous architecture deliverables and reports of critical business areas including our NOCs, document management and BI.  These captured the current state of these systems and the business processes as well as future state and roadmaps of where we look to take these systems.

 

Director, Infrastructure Architecture01/01/2013- 03/01/2014

·              Designed, planned and executed move to 2 new colocation data centers.  Was responsible for all aspects of the project from site selection, data center design and layout, network architecture and design, server migration, storage migration and seamless go live.  Both moves were completed with less than 10 hours of downtime for our users.

·              Designed and implemented architecture for migration and extension of on premise networks’ and workloads with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including all reference architectures, policies and governance required to support running workloads in a public cloud.

·              Set base policies and governance for TOGAF 9.1 Enterprise Architecture framework and implementing tools for 2 first phases of artifact collection and architecture continuum creation.

·              Designed and implemented on premise private cloud lab using Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware using Microsoft Azure cloud packs for self-service, orchestrations and automation.

Director, Datacenter and Network Operations01/01/2009- 01/01/2013

·              Led design and implementation of global private 3g monitoring and sensor network to allow for instrumentation and management of our global telecom site assets and our customers assets installed at these sites.  This has grown to 8 private 3g APN networks that span the globe and are collecting sensor data and alarms from over 20,000 telecom sites globally.

·              Led design and migration to Oracle R12 ERP and Oracle database environment using multi-node RAC clusters and ASM for storage virtualization at the DB server level.  This system now supports 24/7 global finance operations for our business.

·              Led design and implementation of upgraded distribution network in our datacenter using 10Gbps and Cisco Nexus 5k fabric

·              Led design and implementation of improved application delivery for our public facing application using multi site DMZ design and F5 LTM and GTM to mange availability and load.

·              Led design and implementation to grow our global network footprint by adding multiple MPLS providers globally to provide cost and redundancy benefits while maintaining a high level of availability and performance.

·              Led team of over 20 engineers and administrators responsible for global infrastructure operations supporting global business in 10 countries.

·              Budget responsibility for Infrastructure and Operations exceeding 10m annually.

·              Led datacenter modernization effort to improve utilization and efficiency of company owned data centers.
