Responsibilities 
I was part of the Cisco Team at Expedia for the Data Center Refresh project. The project involved the decommissioning of older Cisco equipment and replacing them with the Nexus switches. These included the Nexus 2048s, 5596s, 56128s, 7009s, 7706s, 9300s & 9500s network based platforms. This facilitated the extension of the FabricPath from the edge leaf switches to the spine switches and the border leaf switches throughout the data centers and the integration with the APIC for the ACI fabric. I developed ISSU code upgrade procedures for the Nexus switches and executed them to ensure the switches complied with the recommended gold standard software versions. I was also involved in the redesign of the routing architecture while replacing the 6500’s edge routers with ASR 9K routers in the data centers, bug scrubs, code upgrades as well the mapping of their AS-build network architecture.

I was responsible for the development of the troubleshooting guide for the Azure Express Route security enhancement with zone based firewalls documentation that utilized the Juniper SRX3600 clusters. My responsibilities included:

Designing, implementation and support of Infospace Internet and Enterprise networks worldwide mostly running OSPF as their IGP and BGP for the MPLS and Internet peering. Migrated the customer services at their New Jersey data center to AWS. This involved network, security and infrastructure configuration setup for Amazon’s EC2, S3, Route53 and CloudFront services. I provided network support for all production services - network troubleshooting, root cause analysis, design and implementation of long-term solutions. Performance and capacity planning: auditing, monitoring, analyzing and reconfiguration of network environments for performance improvements and future scalability. Documentation of network engineering processes and procedures for network release planning, testing and support for redundancy disaster recovery and high availability. I worked closely with storage and systems engineering, software developers/testers providing network support and consulting expertise. Created, maintained, and improved network security policies and procedures. I participated in the New Jersey data center migration to the AWS cloud, and relocation from Internap to Telx in Tukwila, Washington. Network protocols commonly used were BGP, EIGRP, MPLS and OSPF. I was a member of the Engineering Services IT group. I was also responsible for escalation to field support and higher levels. I acted as the escalation point for various devices that support Network Management, Performance Management, Traffic Shaping, Bandwidth Management, and IP Address Management. I identified and recommended the right products and services to suit the customer’s business needs. I was responsible for allocating and configuration of IPv4 and IPv6 addresses for the customers. I was involved in the design and implementation of HSRP, VRRP, GLBP and Load balancers. I consulted with the customers on the design, review and implementation of their standard and customized solutions in the data centers. I was a member of the design team for the Data Network Development group. I was responsible for the network design of products for internal customers as part of a team. ·  Responsible for the network architecture, configuration, deployment and support of the AT&T’s Southeastern region network as well as for enterprise customer sites.
