SysOps/Cloud Engineer

 

NGS provides design, integration and management services for customers that require flexible, robust and resilient network infrastructures and cloud environment. NGS also do end-to -end solutions in network integration, assists customers in complex network upgrades, mergers, and expansions or new implementations in AWS cloud.

Project 1: Migrating the Web/Application server and Database server from server pilot to AWS for NGS and clients with ease of scalability, single point of failure and low latency.

Responsibilities:

·               Provided Cost Analysis for architecture team to design the best infrastructure in the cloud environment.

·               Deployed EC2 Instance with minimum disk space to store data file and also support Ubuntu software and needs to have Apache2, PHP5, and MySQL installed.

·               Uploaded WordPress in the EC2 (web, application, and Database server) Instance.

·               Adding a (EBS) block level storage volume to increase the availability of the website.

·               Setting up the Elastic Load Balancer (ELB) to send traffic to all instance in the availability zone with autoscalling.

·               Designed a security group for maintaining the inbound and outbound traffic.

·               Managed hosted zone and domain name service using Route 53.

·               Deployed RDS Read replica with high performance and durability for Database (DB) instances to split the Read and Write traffic from source DB instance.

Project 2: ASCOM WAN-VPN-Network Re-Infrastructure Project – Replacing existing WAN connectivity from Cisco hardware to Juniper hardware in various locations.

Responsibilities:

·               Gathered existing network diagrams and port connection details from the customer for all locations.

·               Created appropriate design layout of network for the connectivity with switches and access points across the network.

·               Collected all required configuration files for switches and access points from the implementation team.

·               Configured ports script files for switches and access points through console.
