As NTT Data
inc’s Lead Cloud Architect I was responsible for developing and delivering
the companies Cloud footprint. The service included Infrastructure as a
service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), DR as a Service (DRaaS), and
Desktop as a Service (DaaS). Nurturing our partner ecosystem, I was able to
partner with Cisco, EMC and vMware to create a state of the art cloud
platform that could be leveraged in both a Virtual Private Cloud and an on
premise private cloud solution. My other responsibilities included creating
the metric based billing mechanism to charge customers on their usage of
the various components. Responsible for selling our service to Fortune 500
companies and driving new client adoption of the cloud. Under this charter
I drove our cost center from a loss into a monthly revenue of $850,000 into
our business unit.

initiative in architecting NTT DATA’s cloud solution leveraging a mix of
converged and standalone technologies such as VMware vCloud Director, VCE
vBlock, Cisco Nexus switching, and Cisco UCS hardware as a service.

Sector: Designed, proposed and led a deployment of VMware
Virtual Infrastructure for a major judicial application. Work included
business case justification, project leadership, and directing various
resources to completion. The project finished under budget and ahead
of schedule while providing a net savings of $700,000 over conventional
physical system architecture. Migration Team Lead for network services
during a datacenter migration of a municipal agency. Responsibilities
included coordination with the Application team leads to ensure external,
internal, and site to site network communications were open for various
applications, network infrastructure design and approval, and team workload
coordination.

Sector: Green (“eco-efficient”)
Datacenter initiatives, including datacenter consolidation, application
consolidation, OS reduction, server virtualization, hardware consolidation
and datacenter efficiency designs. Business Continuity / Disaster

Active Directory group policies. Designed, configured and tested a
backup/archive system for all critical network servers, using Tivoli
Storage Manager, IBM Magstar and IBM LTO, which can support several
terabytes of information. The system has protected the company from
extensive data loss in numerous instances most notably during the SQL
slammer outbreak.. Due to the implementation of this system we were able to
bring all 150 database systems back online within four hours.
