CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: |
Technical Lead for IBM Platform
SaaS CloudOps team worldwide incharge of planning, creating, performing and
managing training, deployments, validation of solutions, Quality Assurance,
and all technical aspects of the service. Worked with Global sales teams to
present Engineering Solution for Cloud. IBM STG internally had already been
using Engineering Solutions for Cloud for years and with an IBM Fellow worked
with sales teams to present to their customers the successful IBM internal
solution as an example and also architect and deliver the solution, Result is
several pivotal contracts in that market space. Successfully developed
relationship between IBM, OpenText, and Cadence Design Systems to enable
remote graphical engineering design environment IBM STG needed to reduce the
number of datacenters and enable remote users to achieve datacenter
consolidation, worked with EDA Vendors, Remote Graphics vendors, IT
departments, and EDA to develop and tune solution for intense 2D graphical
tool usage, result is 1500+ users all utilizing remote graphics running on
central datacenters resources to perform ALL design activity. Supported IBM
adoption of OpenAccess 2.x ( OA ) and the translation of previous design data
into new format. STI ( Sony, Toshiba, IBM ) planned to adopt the OA database
and spearhead IBM’s transition. Worked with Cadence R&D to: refine OA
database, debug core database deficiencies, and also identify product
improvements. Succeeded in completing entire design cycle with new database.
Developed “redundant via generator” software for STI to run at chip level.
STI had requirements for redundant contacts to improve yield and reliability
of chip but no application. Developed code to recognize viable contact
locations and created contacts to fulfill requirements. Final run on chip
level evaluated and created over 270,000 contacts with less then 5,000
DRC/Methodology violations in less then 7 minutes. Developed application that
reduced Xanoptix’s processing time by 50%. Client needed assistance with
application conversion. Developed configuration needed and modified operating
software. Application was successful with multiple advantages including
reduction of time to market by a month and a half. Led essential upgrade to
workstations, increasing speed up to six times while reducing costs by 30%.
Xanoptix engineer’s workstations were outdated and replacement costs were
$10K per station. Analyzed the current systems and compared to potential
upgrades. Installed new LINUX workstations which revealed cost and time
saving. Recommended upgrading all stations based on the success of test. |
