Telecommunications Domain:

- Customer centric SOA Web Services, integrating subscription management (products and services), billing, and payments; for use by customer facing applications, upsell/cross-sell, and other SOA services of Comcast.

- Payment Service to setup payment arrangements, automate and process online and recurring payments via billing systems, to reduce paper billing and manual payment processing costs.

- Consumer facing .NET portal 'Comcast.com' for consumer sales, buy-flow, order processing, account management and payment, with single-sign-on integration of other self-service portals.

- ETL applications to strategically transfer customer information from legacy billing systems to modern in-house systems in an effort to remove vendor lock-ins, reduce costs and improve response times.

 

Designed, developed and delivered claims management system for Verizon, using Weblogic Server, Weblogic Studio, Portlets, pageflows, Oracle and related technologies. Solution included balanced work allocation to customer service personnel, claims resolution, and response management/messaging back to consumers.

 

Public sector:

Designed, developed and contributed to various modules of Citizen portal 'Pay.Gov' for U.S. Department of Treasury, using J2EE(EJB, JMS, JTA, JMX, Servlet, JSP,JSTL), Struts, Apache Lucene, Weblogic, Oracle, Adobe Forms, Actuate, LDAP directories and related technologies. The project objective was to meet the directives outlined in the Government Paperwork Elimination Act, and to meet Agency's responsibilities toward the public for payment processing. Modules included:

- high-performance, reliable transaction processing, and settlement functions in support of online payments

- 'Search electronic forms' module using Lucene, integrated with Adobe LiveCycle Forms product for electronic forms rendering

- integration with other products for security policy management, user provisioning and reporting.

Pay.Gov handles close to 4 million transactions amounting to a total of two billion Dollars every year.

 

Developed lender management system for Dept. of Veteran Affairs' 'VA loans', using Weblogic Studio, portlets and pageflows; and integrated with Pay.Gov to leverage core transaction processing.

 

E-CENTIVES (now Invenda) (April 1999 - August 2003, 4+ years)      Bethesda, Maryland

Development: Designed and implemented Interactive Database Marketing System capable of targeting and delivering email-marketing campaigns; with consumer segmentation and targeting, activity tracking and reporting, seamless web-integration, data flow and customer service automation. E-Centives became a service provider for a growing number of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies in need of such interactive relationship-marketing technologies. Over 30 e-commerce portals successfully integrated with this system to deliver targeted promotions, email campaigns and printable coupons.

 

Automation: Developed products that assisted Marketing and Client Services departments to maintain dynamic product offerings at E-Centives and E-Centives backed portals and offer automated customer support. Increased automation led to nearly 60% reduction in operational costs.
