Infrastructure/Private Cloud Architect: 7/13 – Present, American
Airlines (Consultant)

Assisting the virtualization team with preparing their private cloud
infrastructure for merger related activities.

Supporting a dynamically changing infrastructure based on vSphere 5.1,
vCloud Director, vFabric Application Director, vFabric Data Director,
Orchestrator, SRM with Replication Appliance, and vCenter Operations Manager.

Services include Windows/RHEL Provisioning, XenDesktop, XenApp,
vFabric Postgres, and vFabric tc Server.

Developing completely new vSphere 5.5 infrastructure with the goal of
moving away from Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to Platform and Software
as a Service (PaaS and SaaS). Will include the addition of vCloud
Automation Center for unified cloud management and improved automation.

Virtualization Expert: 5/11 – 10/12, McAfee (Consultant)
- VMware expert for CoLo Program.
- Assisted in the consolidation and
migration of globally dispersed datacenters.
- Responsible for the deployment of
vSphere 4.1 infrastructure to three datacenters in Denver, Miami, and London.
- Each deployment consisted of 48 –
96 ESXi hosts connected to xSigo VP780 Directors.
- Developed standards and
procedures with detailed documentation to support new infrastructure.

and deployment of the new vSphere 5.0 based standard. Included the
addition of distributed switches, storage clusters, and storage DRS.

- Provided a detailed assessment of
the current VMware and storage infrastructure.
- Responsible for the creation and
deployment of a new VMware infrastructure based on ESXi 4.1, Clariion CX4
storage, and denser Dell R810 Servers. Implemented HA, DRS, Distributed
Switches, PowerPath /VE, and Thin Provisioning.
- Developed standards and
procedures with detailed documentation to support new infrastructure.

Engineer: 1/11 – 2/11, PrimeLending (Consultant)
- Short term assignment providing
daily infrastructure support and assessing the current VMware and storage
environment.
- Responsible for the daily support
of VMware on Dell blades and iSCSI Storage on Dell Equallogic.
- Deployed vDR at multiple sites
for disk based backups.
- Supported existing Hyper-V
Infrastructure and performed V2V to VMware.

and support of new vSphere standard based on BL685 G6 servers, 10G Ethernet,
and 8G Fiber Channel. New technologies included Distributed Switches

- Developed xSigo VP780 Director
standard as alternative to HP Virtual Connect
- Deployed new c-Class blade
interconnect standard based on Flex-10 and 10G Ethernet provided by Nexus
7000 switches.
- Provided daily administrative
support which included VM provisioning, P2V, guest OS and Application

- Performed extensive POC of VMware

Infrastructure Architect: 3/05 – 11/07, CapGemini (Consultant)
- Developed, deployed, and
supported VI3 environment consisting of 50 ESX 3.0.X/2.5.X servers and over
800 Virtual Machines managed through Virtual Center 2.0.1.
- Deployed new hardware standard
based on HP C-Class blade technologies. New standards include BL460c,
BL465c, and BL685c blades. Interconnects include Cisco and Brocade
switches as well as HP Virtual Connect Ethernet and Fiber Channel modules.
- Deployed and supported large
scale VMware ESX 2.5.1 based infrastructure on IBM 445/440 8-way
servers. New infrastructure included the addition of VMotion.
- Coordinated the migration of over
500 existing VMs from previous 1.5.X/2.X based ESX frames to newly developed
infrastructure. VMs migrated using Virtual Center cold cloning.
- Consolidated 30 ESX servers to 16
Servers using existing IBM 440/445 hardware. Consolidation achieved
through memory upgrades, upgraded ESX software, and greatly improved standards
for VMs.
- Developed and deployed new
P-Class blade infrastructure for large Citrix based callcenter
environment. Setup HP’s Rapid Deployment Pack (Altiris) to deploy
Windows 2003 64-bit to BL35P blades.

- Responsible for architecture and
support of large scale backup solutions for datacenters involving Legato
Networker 7.X, StorageTek’s L5500 and L700 silos, McData 3232 switches, ACSLS
6.X, and Alphastor.
- Developed and tested new
standards for backup solutions.
- Provided secondary support for
VMWare ESX, EMC Clariion, and EMC Symmetrix DMX solutions.
- Participated in quarterly
Disaster Recovery testing as lead Legato expert. Included testing at
SunGuard and AIG’s own DR facility.

Implementation of dedicated backup network through Gigabit and Fast Ethernet
across an Extreme Networks Black Diamond Switch. Implementation of
