·                       Extensive knowledge and understanding of Architectural, Civil, Structural, and Electrical drawings.

·                       Autocad 2013/2014, Revit BIM, Solidworks, MAYA, Photoshop, Tinkercad, Sketchup, MSOffice, Excel, and Power Point

·                       Strength of materials, statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and manufacturing processes knowledge.

·                       Understanding of mechanical processes including turbines, compressors, pumps, nozzles, diffusers, pistons, heat exchangers, throttling valves, and mixing chambers.

·                       Understanding of circuits and electrical drawings.

·                       Chemistry lab work including: galvanization, distillation, titration, alloying, pH, alkalinity, BOD, DO testing and cleaning of lab equipment.

·                       Materials Science lab work including: heat treatment and quenching of metal samples, hardness testing, and creation of stress/strain curve in Excel based on tensile force and change in elongation/cross sectional area data to determine identity of unknown metal samples.

·                       Extensive knowledge of art, design, architecture, and art history.

·                       Sketching and visual problem solving, collaborating with structural/civil engineers, art directors and editors.

Work History

·   CEMCO Steel Framing & Metal Lath: Full time Structural CAD Technician – Sept. 2015 – Present

Design and drafting of interior and exterior cold-formed steel framing wall systems, including top and bottom track connection detail for full/partial walls, jambs, soffits, GFRC, headers, drops, joists, cornice, etc. Clean up of original architectural drawings to provide plans, RCP, elevations, sections, and connection detail. Conversion of PDF to CAD(and proper scaling thereof), doing markups, printing to PDF, working between MS and PS, viewport creation and scaling, and title block and cover sheet creation and/or modification. Drafting in 2D and isometric. Highly proficient in comprehending and analyzing architectural/structural drawings.

·   Underground GIS: Full time CAD draftsman – April 2015 – August 2015

Complete digital mapping of all underground utilities for large scale facilities ie. college campuses.

Duties: Plan discovery and analysis of all engineering and architectural drawing sets relevant to drafting and populating data starting from the earliest sets to the present. Drafting and object data population of all underground utilities including water, sewer, storm drain, gas, electric, communications, fiber optics, A/V, fire, security, and lighting. Object data population to include size, make and model, surface elevation, invert, and flow direction. Extensive knowledge of utility conduits and structures, as well as reading architectural, structural, and engineering site drawings. Visual verification and other uses of ORTHO and TOPO maps/photos. Field verification and revision based on data collection.

·   Ledcor Group: Project Engineer internship – Oct. 2014 – April. 2015

Duties : RFI postings, expense reports, sub billings, weekly progress reports, punch and completion lists, change work order cost analysis.
