gas compressors. Maintained tolerances during machining of valves seats and
packing case cups. Re-cut valve seat gas grooves. Made skim cuts, face cuts,
and bottom depth cuts and chamfered edges, re-cut o-ring grooves. Assembled
valves, installed specified springs, buttons, valve plates and rings, torqued
and tested valves, labeled, sealed and boxed and took to shipping area.
Assembled packing cases, installed specified packing and o-rings during
reassembly. Did preassembly inspection on packing cases, noted measurements

tapping valves, disassembled and cleaned/ buffed internal parts, replaced

relief valves. Blasted parts in honer/grit blaster. Painted body, bonnet,

needed. Blasted and buffed nozzle and disc and took to machinist. Took
completed parts to valve assembly area. Periodically assisted with in-line
nitrogen, and steam valve testing at customer sites. Assisted with in-line
repairs on Consolidated maxi-flow steam valves, Valtek and Fisher control
valves. Also assisted with shop steam valve testing, water testing, and high

Masoneilan control valves; disassembled valve bodies and actuators, blasted
and cleaned parts in honer. Polished valve stems, plugs, and cages on lathe,
polished actuator stem and brass stem guide, replaced o-rings, and diaphragm.
Painted actuator body, diaphragm housing, and plate, and reassembled.
Pressurized diaphragm housing to 30 psi and held for 15 min/checked for
leaks, and adjusted/set bench set. Painted valve body and bonnet,
wire wheeled seat seating area and bonnet seating area, replaced bonnet studs
as needed, checked packing gland for wear and cleaned and polished,
reassembled and installed packing. Replaced tubing as needed.
Disassembled, cleaned, and calibrated Fisher 3582 positioners. Ran seat
leak tests with shop air pressure and hydro tested to 25 - 50% of flange
rating, or as specified by supervisor. Followed customers specifications for
