Engineer/ Planner Analyst– Transmission Construction and Maintenance - January 2013-Present - Hadley Rd, South Plainfield, NJ

·                     Oversee day to day operations of field contractors for various maintenance programs and projects. Accomplishments include:

·                     Reviving and improving the company foundation and corrosion inspection program by bringing on board contractor that specializes in corrosion inspection and assessment. Upon analyzing results, develops and oversees corrective maintenance plan.

·                     Converted existing non-compliant climbing apparatus to OSHA approved climbing ladders on 60 Monopoles.

·                     Increased Cell Site Installations and upgrades on existing transmission structures by 20% in a 2 year time span by increasing contractor diversity, and accurately and efficiently carrying out necessary tasks from implementation of site plan  to construction close out.

·                     Assists in the improvement of the transmission asset registry and the transmission maintenance program by:

·                     Being a key contributor in the development of our transmission health analysis and corrective maintenance program.

·                     Assiting in identifying asset inconsistencies between the field, our GIS system & the department SAP maintenance plans

·                     Analyzing existing inspection records to develop list of about 200 lattice type towers that require painting

·                     Developing Asset Lists and Maps that are utilized by department and field supervisors

·                     Implementing a program to identify and track distribution underbuild located on transmission structures.

·                     Improving inspection field reports to better translate results into meaningful data.

·                     Developing asset identification and inspection system for the Right-Of-Way group

·                     Provides construction support for internal work force. Duties include obtaining DOT permits and railroad permits, maintaining the department project schedule, logging monthly meeting minutes and identifying environmental constraints associated with projects.

·                     Helps support the business by setting up purchase orders and processing invoices.

 

Project Designer – Delivery Projects and Construction - February 2012-January 2013 - 744 Broad St. Newark, NJ

·                     Utilized Computer Aided Drafting to create various drawings to support the preliminary design of Transmission Growth Projects specific to inside plant construction. Drawings included a general arrangement/plot plan, section and details, grounding, lighting, lightning protection, foundation and conduit plan.

·                     Coordinated with project manager, inside and outside plant and division representatives to create detailed one lines showing constructability phases to maintain contingency during construction of 5 interconnecting station network upgrades.

 

GIS Technician/CAD Drafter – Distribution Operations - June 2010-February 2012 - Somerset, NJ & Clifton, NJ                       

·         Utilized Geographic Information Systems to:

·                     Accurately update the GIS mapping system with information from sources including work management systems, construction drawings, work orders, and field reports.

·                     Produce 4kv-13kv circuit prints

·                     Create maps requested by engineers that were project specific in order to better visualize equipment and assets of interest.

·                     Run reports and analyze existing data.

·         Utilized Computer Aided Drafting (Microstation) to:

·                     Produce electrical one lines of switching stations and substations in accordance with ongoing  projects to ensure contingency and reliability

·                     Convert 200-300 hand drawn underground supply development drawings to electronic files. 

·                     Digitize 26kv-69kv circuit prints from engineering work orders in conjunction with ongoing field construction.

·         Managed documentation by accurately updating various prints prior to in service date.

·         Performed field inspections to verify and/or fix bad data derived from GIS reports

·         Aided in the recovery of Hurricane Irene and October 29 fall snowstorm

Geographic Information Systems Intern – New Brunswick, NJ                                                                                                                                  

·                     Collaborated with various internal and external departments to produce maps and aerial images. Some projects that were worked on were The Route 9 Corridor Study, The Wastewater Management Plan and the Rails to Trails Projects. I also assisted in digitizing organic farmers markets and county parks through Middlesex County Federal government’s Recovery Act.
