Civil design and drafting work employing AutoCAD 2000 and 2002 and Land Development II and Microstation J, V7, and V8.

 

Drafting design and preconstruction of as-built survey data and GIS Processing of a 36" Diameter Natural Gas Pipeline extending from Mississippi across the Gulf of Mexico to areas South East of Tampa.

FDOT Standards and Specs were adhered to.

Work involved locating land plats and ownership information to verify

Title documentation and working with the Florida Land Surveyors to

create plats that could be used to negotiate right of way or used for

legal procedures to produce condemnations drawings.

Conversion of AutoCAD survey files to Microstation J and V8.

Dealing with construction crews and local landowners on a daily basis.

Worked very closely with the survey crews downloaded data collectors.

Made corrections and modifications to the CSV.

Created corrected files for the G.I.S. system.

Responsible for the pre-construction and as-built survey of the pipeline.

Created the processed survey files that were then introduced into the GIS system.

Trimble Hardware and Software were used for the survey capture, download and processing.

FDOT standards.

After completion of the above assignment reassigned to a large

development project in Blythe, CA and Ehrenberg, AZ and made use of

AutoCAD 2002 and Land Development Desktop II.

Civil Drafting Designer, Peak Technical

Pittsburgh, PA.

Contracted with Peak Technical in a variety of projects for varying time lengths in several States and with numerous engineering firms

 

AutoCAD 2000 and Land Development Desktop II as well as Microstation J.

 

Most of the work done through Peak involved major land development and

site development projects, large and small subdivisions and large

commercial projects, such as Wal-Mart parking lots, Ruby Tuesday restaurants, golf course/subdivisions.

 

Site plans, grading and drainage, sewer and water, pressure relief stations, pump stations, gensets.

 

Responsible for dealing directly with clients and survey crews on a continuous basis to ascertain the quality of the files and to make sure that the field work was progressing on schedule.

 

Designed and revamped the Fort Carson Military Base in Colorado.

Development site consisted of 400 single and multi-family dwellings.

Software included AutoCAD 2000 and Land Development Desktop II.

 

Worked with sensitive wetland areas and developed overland drainage for storm water and storm water management as well as structural, mechanical, electrical drafting and worked on pressure reducing stations, lift stations, underground utilities roadways and streets and land development.

 

As well as the design for new single family homes and town homes,

revamped the existing structures and produced new and as built plans

for the entire project.

 

A great deal of field work and construction evaluation (supervision)

was required.

 

Involved with other companies as a contract designer working on a variety of projects near Fort Pierce, Florida.

Worked with AutoCAD 14 doing the design drafting for a 24" potable

water pipeline extending from fresh water supplies in lakes in the central highlands of the Dominican Republic to large above ground storage facilities in the capital city of Santo Domingo.

 

Assisted in land purchase and development of a site and the construction of 250 private homes, 500 room luxury hotel and a professional grade 18 hole golf course with townhouses.

 

Around the perimeter of the golf course were townhouses and condos.

Responsible for the land development, the infrastructure

(roadways and utilities).

 

Supervised the intake and control of the survey data and working with

the notes developed the subdivision, golf course and the surrounding    homes.

Interfaced directly with local government officials to locate permits

and permissions.

Hired and supervised local contractors for a nearby development at

Cabarete Beach.
