Freelance Renovation and Modernization Project Engineer – San Antonio, TX           Jan/2013 - Jun/2013

• In charge of restoring a historic 1930’s building into a modern fully functional office:

·  Created a physical and AutoCAD digital map, of the building.

·  Sketch and work with architects developing the renovation plan.

·  In charge of expenses, accounting and budget.

·  Supervise and aid with the physical work and details.

·  Design, and build 5 high-end computers, a CAT 5e Ethernet Gigabit Local Area Network for 6 stations plus 24 wireless devices, expandable to 48 stations, as well a remote smartphone personal physical cloud computing access to a 128-bit firewalled back-up system.

·  Design and supervise the telephone building layout as well as integrating the VoIP option in the phone line system.

·  Design and supervise a 16 HD cameras with a digital remote smartphone access CCTV for security purposes.

Personal Project, Owner

• Created an import/export company in the State of Texas.

• Created and developed “Berlanga’s” organic apple and pear juice, brand to commercialize in regional supermarkets and convenience stores.

• Successfully import from Mexico and commercialize a new product. Gain a great amount of knowledge in import/export NAFTA, FDA, US Custom Borders and Mexican International treading; regulations, procedures and laws, international accounting and company liabilities, laws and LLC tax regulations, stock partnership, capitalization and volume displacement.

Thermal Line Drafter - Internship

• Utilized AutoCAD to provide detailed CAD planes, and maps of all the HVAC thermal pile lines, valves and junctions system of all the campus (all maps were created upon the required ARC GIS mapping specifications and layers). Completed and acquired the ESRI ARC GIS global mapping certification.

• Assisted and participated in all the processes that are involved in the production of Busses.

• Utilized complex mechanic, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical initial conditions to conceptualize and design rough drafts of the pieces, parts and component to be selected, authorized and certified by each of the OEMs^[1] standards upon their respective correct applications.

• Supervise SolidWorks drafters, special attention to measurements precision and tolerances, thermal/grain tolerances, material specifications and purposes, physical tooling and mechanical limitations, thermal (welding; properties, applications and specifications) and physical coupling (nut and bolt; grading scale, materials properties, applications, specific torque purpose).

• Involved in the physical fabrication of the part or component, knowledge of TIG, MIG and solder-brass welding, pneumatic tools, lathe, shear, grinder, bench and HSS drills, broaching, milling cutters and CNC machining. 

• Aided in the evaluation and pre-testing of final concept-component; strength, temperature, behavior and safety factors, evaluate under extreme parameters, gather data and redesign if necessary. Prepare for final OEM evaluation for the correct application and certification of the respective component.

• Involved in the creation of final OEM certified component/part planes and drawings, research and compare a reliable cost/effective/quality supplier and manufacturer.

• Assisted and worked in the inventory and cash/time logistics department, worked with Microsoft Project, Excel and Microsip for the time-line project supplier logistics, stock value and manufacturing on-time OEM installation packages.

• Worked in the corrective and preventive maintenance department, helped integrating tools and machines maintenance schedules into the manufacturing and inventory time schedule based in efficiency, previous components failures and availability.

• Manufacturing and production management knowledge, six sigma, 5s, quality and hygiene controls, ISO 9000 standards awareness.
