Summary Statement:

I am looking for employment as a CAD draftsman. I have over 15 years of experience with both AutoCAD and Microstation, the latest versions being Microstation V8i and AutoCAD 2012. I have been a draftsman for many years and started work as a subsurface mapper for Hamilton Brothers Oil Company in Denver, Colorado. Since then I have worked in various engineering disciplines such as architectural, civil, cartographic, structural and most recently electrical, doing work in substation CAD drafting and design. I have only a little experience with Revit since it is a relatively new software.

Engineering Technician 4 (Lead Drafter)

Responsibilities: Created electrical schematics, civil site drawings, detail and equipment schedules for electrical substations for various public utilities (PG&E and Pacific Corp) using both Microstation V8XM, V8i and AutoCAD MEP. Drafted new and retrofit substations, heavy 2D but a lot of 3D as well.

 

Accomplishments: Lead CAD draftsman and trained new hires in the process involved in creating the various drawings needed for each project. I also troubleshooted various computer problems for the office when needed.

I was ATTSI certified in an 8 hour course for highway flagman. I attended this course when I worked for URS Corporation and used it to control traffic for survey projects when called upon.

I was trained by Pacific Gas and Electric in the use of their project control database and was provided with a proprietary laptop to use for my work at Black and Veatch to obtain and put back drawings and documents from their servers when they were requested by the engineers for various PG&E projects.
