Electrical Designer/Drafter, Operates under consultant’s supervision, designs and drafts in ACAD 2006 electrical primary and secondary underground and overhead systems for Imperial Irrigation District. Designs electric primary distribution high voltage 7.2/12.5KV and secondary 277/480V systems power facilities including single and three-phase services. Designs primary extensions and for DOT projects. Completes cost estimates, bill of materials and quantities from blue prints. Makes site visits, meets with customers, designs and stakes the location of proposed electrical distribution facilities. Assists engineers securing substations sites; works on customer service proposals and capital projects requiring new circuits configuration from existing or new substations banks and into new residential, commercial and industrial projects. Balances load, voltage drop calculations in accordance with safety regulations, cable sizing, transformer sizing, ruling spans, pole guying, panel sizing. Electrical Designer/Drafter, Operates under professional engineer’s supervision, designs and drafts in ACAD 2006 system electrical overhead systems for Shaker Heights in Cleveland, Oh.  Field checks as needed; submit plans and meets with agencies personnel in the field as needed; provides cost estimates and bills of materials for electrical Primary Voltage Conversion of 4.3KV to 13.2KV. Use GIS systems for researching information on existing poles, transformers, voltages and overhead lines throughout the Shaker Heights area. Used CREWS program to enter all material.  Used First Energy’s Construction Standards to design several miles of distribution following CalOSHA rules, G.O.128, G.O. 95, and NEC regulations.

Work on rebuilding the Shaker Heights electrical backbone system which consisted of up to 6 circuits of 4KV. Creates hardcopy drawings and lists of materials for the construction crews to use for upgrading systems on backyard jobs. primary voltage and 480Voltage systems.
