●       My Work at Quick Logic involved doing major enhancements to the Quick Logic web applications in Classic ASP being used by offices in Sunnyvale, Canada and India. Interacted with the marketing and business groups to discuss their requirements and their feasibility of various projects.

·   Developed and thoroughly tested the TAG-Supply Application on the Web that provides a standard economic methodology, uniform cost estimating premises, and financial assumptions   for evaluating electric utility technologies. The application was originally written in C++.

 

·   Responsible for creating the architecture design and implementation of the system web pages in ASP.Net using VB.Net, C# and ADO.NET using Visual Studio 2003.NET as the development environment.

·   Responsible for writing the Business Logic Layer of the application using Object Oriented concepts. Also created numerous stored procedures and triggers. The database used was SQL Server 2000.

·   Used Data Transformation Service (DTS) to import data from Oracle 9i databases and flat files into SQL Server 2000.

·   Developed a Client Feedback system for EPRI Clients in ASP.NET, C# and ADO.NET using Visual Studio 2003.NET as the development environment. SQL Server 2000 was used as a backend .The work involved creating web pages for clients to enter their views, suggestions and solutions regarding the crucial industry issues for Nuclear Power, Power Quality, Environment and other electricity issues.

·   OLE Automation was used for calculations  and formatting reports using automatic invocation of features of MS Word and MS Excel.

·   Created Licensing feature for the various technologies so that a user can access information and edit only those technologies he is licensed to. Added other security measures so that a user cannot access a Web Page unless he logs into the application.

·   Ported the database from Raima to SQL Server using its export utility and DTS.

Developed Web Pages using ASP, JavaScript and Adobe Photoshop and connected them to the SQL server database at its backend using ADO’s thereby displaying data on the screens.

·   Also created administrator screens using which an administrator can assign the login Id and password to the user to access TAG-Supply and also license him the technologies he has funded for.

·  Enhanced the Power Quality Business Analyzer website of EPRI. This is an umbrella site encompassing six other sites. I redeveloped and improved the functionality of these sites as well.  Added a feature where the user can   access statewide power quality data by clicking on the appropriate state on the U.S map and also data for the top 10 states.  This is on Windows 2000 Advanced Server using IIS 5.0 with ASP as the front end and SQL Server 2000 as the database server. Also used HTML, JavaScript and ADO.
