Ø       Designed methods and procedures for and consulted technically with OSP Planning, Engineering and Construction in areas of transport, PON, Synchronous Optical Networks (SONET), fiber and Central Office interfaces. Maintained operational consistency between departments and drove resolution of client issues.

Ø       Served as direct resource to SBC-TRI (Technology Resources, Inc.)/ATT Labs during feasibility studies of new technologies, including FTTH. “Real world” expertise used by SBC-TRI to make sound decisions and most profitable use of technologies.

 

Manager- Network Planning, Engineering Design

·         Planned, implemented and managed fiber loop routes, SONET diverse rings, transport for ATM and other data services for eastern half of Missouri. Area contained approximately 60 central offices and 600,000 business voice and data circuits. Major clients included Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., Enterprise Rent-A-Car and MasterCard International, Inc. Subject matter expert on fiber networks and configurations.

Ø       Maximized system and budget efficiency. Assured network protection for customers with high capacity bandwidth. Strategically placed 600 fiber diverse SONET rings. 

Ø       Developed costs, feasibility studies and serving plans for customers requesting broadband transport. Increased profitability for company and efficiencies for customer.

Ø      Solved broadband transport problems and made onsite contacts to resolve customer-specific issues.  Resolutions drove revenue growth of 10% and maintenance savings of more than 15%.

Ø      Coordinated deployment of voice, data and video transport equipment internally and with the Vatican, Offices of President and Vice-President of United States and all Media, during Papal visit and two Presidential debates. Resulted in timely delivery of services at non-traditional sites with zero failures, while maintaining area network.

Ø        Directed project teams comprised of OSP engineering, network operations, sales and construction personnel. Established relationships with key employees of utilities and of the City of Saint Louis to promote responsiveness to needs of customers and company.
