Senior Consultant

OSS software product support and operational process improvement for clients during the post and pre-sales stages. Provide consultant services and assessments for the Plan to Provision, Service Fulfillment and Service Assurance processes for clients in North America, Europe and the Middle-East. Identify, analyze and resolve program support deficiencies.  Develop and recommend corrective actions.

 

§    Supported OSS transformation for a large U.S. based Global Carrier by writing strategy papers, developing High Level Architectures, producing Level 3 Process flows based on eTom functions and analyzing client data to develop the ROI and Pay Back Period for a long term strategic program.

§    Provided consulting services for an FTTx business case development, network architecture and technology selection for a European provider. Facilitated workshops with the management team to clarify selection options. Developed costing structure to evaluate selection costs per home passed.

§    Provided consulting services for process improvement, PMO/FMO gap analysis, metrics and quality improvement. The services supported network creation, service fulfillment and service assurance for North American wire line and wireless providers.

§    Managed a team of engineers for the timely input of FTTH OSP designs into Network Engineer and the compilation of various reports to enable the build, service fulfillment and assurance for a North American provider that was challenged with short timeframes to complete an FTTH rollout.

§    Provided managed services supporting long haul services for a major US company.  Provided circuit designs and managed a team of engineers for Gig-E, SONET OC48, OC12, OC3, DS3, and DS1 services using Granite and other client specific systems for a major Long Distance provider that was challenged with extremely high service order volumes.

§    Provided training needs analysis and delivery coordination for a newly established “Super Network Operations Center (S-NOC)” of a North American provider.

Technical Consultant

Supported the United States Army Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems Project Manager, Defense Communications and Army Switched Systems, Technology Management Division, Fort Monmouth. Responsible for development of technology roadmaps, for the Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP), that will enhance the Army telecom engineering and implementation efforts.

Engineering Manager

Responsible for Outside Plant Planning, Design and Service Order Support for 48 Verizon Wire Centers in Central New Jersey. Responsibilities included managing a team of 24 Outside Plant Network Engineers and 20 Associates. Managed multiple mission critical projects including: Fiber To The Prem. (FTTP), Fiber To The Node (FTTN), Enterprise SONET Rings, Hi-Capacity Service Provisioning (DS3, OCx, TLS etc.), Network growth and rearrangements to meet corporate goals and customer needs.

 

§    Facilitated the implementation of a new OSS platform (ICGS) for drawing and records keeping by coordination of training, developing and managing a cut over schedule.

§    Managed the relocation of the Trenton area OSP organization. Coordinated new office furniture, equipment, data and voice services, engineering records and staff moves without incident or any negative impact to the business or our customers

§    Developed a process for the timely delivery and accurate inventories of electronic components that reduced capital expense by $3.1M.

§    Established and delivered a hands on installation and maintenance training course for a SONET based transport system that incorporated a 1/0 switch matrix used to train hundreds of technicians.

§    Developed the concept and initial requirements for a circuit inventory database. Worked closely with programmers from concept to implementation. The database has been a key component in the engineering support of new service order completion.
