2013 to Present              Senior FTTH Consultant and Coordinator, Mastec, Colombia.

 

Provide consulting services for the construction department of the ETB telephone company in Bogota Colombia in all aspects of deploying an FTTH network. Including, manual, procedures, equipment selection, field personal support, training and interact with middle and high level management. Also, manage ten engineers in the day to day activities.

 

 

 

2010 to 2013              Senior OSP Engineer Level II for FTTP & BAU Operations.

 

Perform planning, engineering and design tasks for FTTP and BAU projects (Copper and Fiber), using Visio, Micro Station, ICGS and IDDS software for Verizon. Project management. Interact with construction and splicing crews on the field and provide support from the office. QC work from outside vendors before it is send to construction. Monitor project statuses and progress in order to assure that the finished projects were delivered on time. Coordinate and conduct visits to the field to verify that the project notes provided by the client were correct, and to corroborate the conditions of the field.  Organize the work and resolution of situations that might arise with any of the agencies involved with the project. Assist team members on the use of CAD software and FTTP procedures in order to facilitate the completion of the projects.
