Responsible for all aspects of engineering, budgeting, construction, permitting, project management and installations of our FTTH overbuild project, consisting of 90 miles of FTTH plant passing 4500 homes and businesses and our cellular back haul projects. Developed and implemented engineering, construction and installation specifications. Supervised and managed contractors, ordered material and managed inventories, approved and tracked invoicing. Manage all fiber documentation, assignments and the day to day operations of the FTTH OSP network. I approved all phases of engineering performed by our contract engineering firm.

I managed the technical staff and field operations of 40 employees serving 36,000 customers and 1700 miles of plant. I was responsible for the daily operations, plant maintenance and extensions, capital projects, four headend facilities and the vehicle fleet. I lead the safety committee to ensure compliance with the company policies, procedures and OSHA regulations. I supervised the completion of the MSDS manual. I improved communication and provided direction by making sure pertinent performance and operational information was received by the front lines. I implemented procedures to reduce drop cable waste by 50%.

12/01- 10/02 Technical Supervisor; Mediacom Communications, Kendallville, IN

I supervised the technical staff and daily operations of seven systems serving 8,000 customers. I organized the staff and their job responsibilities based upon their skill level. I improved communication and teamwork by implementing policies and procedures to ensure that the daily workload got completed efficiently.

I performed monthly safety inspections, documented and corrected discrepancies.    I ensured that the company safety policies were being adhered to. I conducted technical training and monthly safety meetings.

3/00-12/01 Project Coordinator/Supervisor; Mediacom Communications, Northern Indiana

I supervised 320 miles of the 966 miles of plant up-grades and fiber optic interconnects in Northern Indiana that year, completing the projects ahead of schedule and under budget. I was responsible for the installation and connectivity of all fiber opto-electronics throughout northern Indiana, including 1550nm long haul analog and digital equipment for 358 miles of interconnects. I also spliced fiber in the field during the first six months. I was responsible for pulling all necessary permits, conducting pre-construction and post-construction ride out and performed quality control checks.
