Telecom Project Manager                                                                                                (Feb 2014 – Till Now)

·   Responsible for medium sized, complex projects (sites deployment: 2G/3G/LTE/MW), site audit, Relocations, IBS, Dismantling, Huawei site swap.

·   Representing Globalcom in all commercial and technical issues, attending and answering all bid walk.

·   Answering RFP/RFQ and all required quotations.

·   Finding, training, evaluation subcontractors and suppliers for different scope (Subcon management)

·   Finding, training and evaluating new resources, (responsible about interviews and approving the contracts).

·   Generating the resources development plan (deciding about the internal & external trainings).

·   Responsible of all project deliverables and company business development: Mainly new IBS and IBS LTE E Node B collocation and also wireline FTTH/GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) projects including Telecom Implementation and Civil Works.

·   Managing wireline OSP (FTTH) project for Etisalat (Huawei) responsible about all engineering scope: (Site surveys, field supervision, duct laying, Fiber Optic cable pulling & fusion/splicing, power measurement, trenching, cable ladder installation, site folder preparation, site acceptance).

·   Create, manage and maintain the wireless/wireline project schedule.

·   Working with board members and stakeholders and ensuring wireless/wireline projects on track. 

·   Making sure that all strategies are followed by the project team (engineers, team leaders).

·   Answering all sales requirements from customer like RFP/RFQ.

·   Suggesting and evaluating new partnerships with strategic companies overseas (Celplan, Exinda, FEtest, Topex, Pravala…).

·   Managing and directing multiple medium to large-scale projects in different Middle East Countries simultaneously with different verticals like oil & gas, municipalities and operators(PDO Oman, dU UAE, OXY and Zain Bahrain, PTCL Pakistan)

·   Managing the full project life cycle for the telecom deployment (Planning, Civil Works, logistics and telecom implementation).  Working with project team and Stakeholders in the business areas to ensure all requirements are captured, and implemented accordingly.

·   Telecom Implementation Supervisor: Nokia BSS Commissioner and Integrator. Ensure the proper swap of Siemens BS240 to NOKIA Ultra site (GSM 900/1800).

·   Installation & commissioning of Nokia Ultrasite / Metrosite EGDE / FlexiHopper / FIU19 /Node B, Site Surveys (TI/CW), Site auditing, Site Acceptance, Site Integration, Cut-over, support / troubleshooting, Attend preliminary & final Inspection with customer troubleshooting internal, external alarms and deficiencies detected during telecom inspection.

·   Very familiar with 3G Overview, ATM, TCP/IP, WCDMA RAN, and IuB interfaces. Good knowledge in the operation.

·   Training and managing a team of 6 technicians on Nokia technologies and BTS installation.

 

Achievement: Demonstrated a strong knowledge of Nokia technologies, trained the local teams and was considered one of the best engineers in the project.

BTS Technical Support and O&M engineer                                                                    (Sep 2001 – Dec 2004)

·   Supervising the Subcontractors: Installation, Commissioning, Integration, maintenance, Site acceptance and quality verification, Site audits, updating Site Implementation Tracking database (Cell Tracker), Pre Installation Site Meeting with customer, subcontractor and Construction Company.

·   Verification and approval of site folder (power test and VSWR test results...)

·   Responsible about all Technical site surveys and additional CW requirement in existing sites for expansions (additional poles, brackets, cable ladders, cable trays, additional power and breakers replacement plan).

·   Providing needed technical support to the installation team and onsite assistance if needed.

·   Day to day communication with the NOC engineers and planning team about site parameters and HW configurations.

 

Achievement: first region to be fully accepted by customer, and cleared all the snags.
