      *14 years splicing Fiber  using a Sumitomo 65,Fujikura FSM-17R to splice singles  

        and ribbons, experience prepping and splicing high count Ribbons.

      *Fiber Test Equipment: GN Nettest CMA 4000 OTDR, GN Nettest Power meter,

        Optical Fiber Identifier, Microscope, Visual Fiber Identifier.

      *Certified in Fiber Optic Splicer and Installer

      *Certified in Fiber Optic Design, Maintenance, Testing and Connectorization.

VCI  Construction, Inc ,Las Vegas ,NV– 12/17/2011 to present

Fiber Optic and Copper splicer

 

     *Working as a leader of Fiber group, splicing Fibers at OPM, I was responsible for

        Troubleshoot and repair any problem with the Fibers.

      *Placing and splicing Patch panels in central Office. Working in a new project with Fiber

       Ring installing and splicing Calix E3-12c equipment that provides VDSL and ADSL     

       service through a combination of Fiber, copper cable and 390 VDC power.

      *Placing and Splicing Adtran 1148 VDSL2  self-contained IP/Ethernet with a focus on

       Delivering Voice, Video and Data through Fiber, Copper and Power.

      *I was responsible for the maintenance, splicing and cable transfers to replace POTS

       shelves for IPTV panels working in the project from beginning to end.

Cable Maintenance and Pre-fielder:

 

     *I was on the Maintenance group responsible for troubleshoot and repair any kind

       of problems in the copper cable, splice cables using MS2, section throw cables that

       were in very bad conditions.

     *Rehab building terminals, splices, nids, yellow Jacket, cross connect panels to be use

      for PRISM  project.

     *I worked as Pre- fielder in the OSP getting the lines ready for IPTV using the JDSU

       3000, Side kick getting the right readings by removing ½ tops, cleaning pairs using

       new connector or finding different problems from CALX or CO.

     *Worked with Programing the get the right reading on cable pairs and Asg to get the right

        Information for job to be done.

     *Prepping and splicing copper and fiber cables on cross connect and Calix.

Telecommunications Specialist:

 

      *Responsible for the overall prepping, cleaning, splicing, installation, termination and

        testing of Fiber Optic from 864 Fiber cable to the minimum size.

      *Managed splicing, testing and documentation of Fiber Optic cable for Frontier

        communication.

      *Construction and maintained Cell Sites equipment and other telecommunication

        systems.

      *I was involved an the installation, splicing and testing of the Fiber Optic cables for

        The WIND MILLS in the city of Rio Vista.

      *Performed diagnosis and repair to verify and locate cable faults.

      *Evaluated incoming signal and adjust systems accordingly to ensure optical fiber

        performance without disrupting existing service.

      *I spliced more then 50,000 fiber from single to ribbon in a Fiber to the home project.

         new 3600, 2100, 1800 pr cables in MHs, making the right distribution according to

         blue prints.

       *Prepped, distribute and splice 3600 pr groups from new cross connects, working on

         cable transfers, section throw, run jumper for cutover.

       *Placing and splicing repeater for T1’s, getting lines ready for DSL.

       *Install, repair and troubleshoot existing copper lines, reroute jumper wires at cross

         connect, splice Fiber Optic hubs.

       *Place and drops from pole to costumer to provide new service.

       *Rehab Peds for DSL project, place drops, maintenance the existing POT’s lines.

      *Responsible for reviewing existing installation plans by analyzing Copper & Fiber

         blue prints and make recommendations to improve the project.

       *Emergency restoration of the OSP copper cable between Merced and Yosemite for

         TDS Communication, placing and splicing cable stubs to perform a section throw.
