Engineering Supervisor, Global Applications & Integration

·               Lead a team of Applications and Integration Engineers designing solutions for voice, video and data network for revenue, access and security control system at airports, hospitals, shopping malls, municipals, sports arenas and privately owned facilities all over the world.

·               Design and manage multiple multi-million dollar Tier 1 and Tier 2 airport projects simultaneously within US, multi-million dollar projects involving malls, universities, and medical centers, local governments within and outside US including South America, the Middle East and APAC.

·               Review and evaluate RFP’s, RFQ’s, RFI’s and architectural drawings released for new projects by owners, architects or consultants. Perform gap analysis and create requirement traceability matrix, define scope of work.

·               Design and/or manage conduit layout for entire project required for 3M devices for AC or DC power, data and control cables, and for Intercom cables.

·               Design and/or manage all wiring diagrams for all access and revenue control devices and LPR systems, which includes the deployment of indoor and outdoor multimode or single mode fiber optic cables and patch panels.

·               Supervise design and engineering activities including releasing EWO to construction department and contractors.

·               Initialize and develop Holland BPW fiber-to-the-user $26M business plan for 30,000 households and 2,500 businesses in Greater Holland area in West Michigan.

·               Initiated and launched the selection process to test, verify and select suitable products for Holland BPW internal and external networks.

·               Manage network infrastructure for Differential Relays for 138 kV, SCADA connection between sub-stations, Enclosures and SCADA-Master, services via LAN and PBX system.

·               Design and architect state-of-the-art fiber-to-the-user open access model with multiple service providers of voice, data, cable TV, video-on-demand and point-to-multipoint data and video services.

·               Manage to acquire easement and right-of-way for outside plant cabinets, remote terminals and collocations shelters.

·               Performed under the Director of Engineering to design production line equipment for new products for automotive industry.

·               Modify existing production line equipment to increase efficiency and decrease grinding cycle of spring grinding machines and reduce plant-wide waste.

OSP Manager

·               Supervise OSP technicians; manage EPC contractors and sub-contractors engaged in inside and outside plant projects building manholes, conduit runs, and risers, pulling and splicing fibers, terminating fiber in various locations.

·               Negotiate contract with vendors and contractors for emergency restoration of OSP, and all add-move-change projects.

·               Monitor entire division from Niles, MI to Cleveland, OH via Detroit on a 24x7x365 basis, response promptly during any outages, fiber cuts, derailment or storms.

·               Supervise installation of all electronics including Fujitsu MUXs, Nortel OPTera LH Connect/DX DWDM, Cisco & Juniper Routers, Switches & Hubs, Dantel Alarming systems, PBX systems, Power Rectifiers & Circuit Breaker bays, OSX/FTP equipment, Norscan cable monitoring system, SONET rings up to OC-192 level. Manage configure and troubleshoot all these equipment on a 24x7 basis.

·               Maintain 550 kW back-up power generators and auto power transition ATS switches for amplify/regen sites.

·               Maintain three metro fiber rings of 65 miles with 456 MHs in Detroit Metro Area, 5 EUB sites and 4 colo sites.

·               Administer LAN/WAN activities at Southfield office, end-user buildings, and co-ordinate with HQ at Denver. CO.

·               Manage to upgrade all operating system used by SONET equipment, DACS systems, LAN/WAN systems.

·               Design fiber optic network based on FTTC and FTTH technology, using pole mounted and on-prem Optical Network Units. Design and engineering involves LITESPAN/STARSPAN loop electronics in CEVs and customer-premise.

·               Survey existing UG and aerial feeder and distribution routes, transfer boxes, drop-loops and poles in area covered under the project.

·               Design, engineer and size fiber routes from central offices to Optical Network Units in an area comprising seventy thousand living units.

·               Use Micro-Station CAD-CAM for design purposes and prepare facility records using WORD and EXCEL.

·               Developed Facility Record Database using MS-ACCESS to store information of few thousand ONUs, their Power Serving Units and customers receiving services from those. Verizon engineers currently use this database.
