Fiber Optic Engineer

 

Assigned to AT&T Telephone Expansion Project-6 (TEP6/GSM) FOTS Project. This includes testing of single mode fiber optic cables using  TEKTRONIX  TFP2    Fibermaster

OTDR, Tektronix TFS 3030 Fiber Mini OTDR and Hewlett Packard 8145A OTDR; Performs the task of Splicing single mode fiber optic cables using optical fiber Fusion Splicer SUMITOMO 35SE.

 

Prepares daily job allocations to fiber optic jointing crews regarding splicing and testing of fiber optic cables. Update as-built plan based on job completed and pending jobs. Submit daily production reports to head office to evaluate project status and resource usage. Coordinates with AT&T and NORCONSULT Supervisors regarding the approval and acceptance of the jobs completed.
