Broadly experienced, PMP certified, data and telecommunications professional (>20 years). Successful implementations of technical pre/post-production infrastructure/storage networks (both external, internal, IaaS and SaaS) and software project management from concept through general deployment.  Managed multi-functional teams.  A previous background in Software and Systems Architecture makes me uniquely qualified to act as a Project Manager for working with these teams. ·   Drove and monitored new application introductions (software development) into the production environment, and ensured they stayed within budgets and timelines.  Some have offshore teams.

Program/Project Management

·Managed the enterprise-wide IPv6 enablement across all product lines – Managed Services, Disaster & Recovery Services, and Cloud for both IT and infrastructure.  This included the budget, tools, software, technical education, scheduling, and network and support infrastructure needed. Presented reports to all levels of management, including “C” level. Interacted with stakeholders/customers on a regular basis.

·Managed new and lifecycle management for services and features development bringing them to market (such as infrastructure upgrades and new data storage/warehousing/SAN) – from concept (with RFI and RFP reviews) through general availability.  This included Proof of Concept evaluations, including EMC, NetApp, and other vendors with associated analyses.

·   National/International Network Services – Data Deployments 04/10-10/2012:  Successfully completed multiple large complex Data center and network infrastructure deployments including equipment, software upgrades/migrations, lifecycle projects (installations through migrations and subsequent decommissioning) (>$50M), Proof of concept, migrations, moves, and included MPLS and VPNs/LANs. They also had components of public safety infrastructure, new software releases, network infrastructure build outs (both data center and Internet equipment), specialized data center government deployment for Department of Homeland Security(MTIPS), and customer private networks.  Installations spanned both North America, Europe, and Asia.

·   National Network Services 8/08-04/10: Successfully deployed multiple diverse large customer broadband projects installs including international, all with in the framework of PMI processes, including First Office Applications.

·   Fiber to the Node (FTTN) 11/07-7/08:  Managed New Mexico OSP broadband deployment to enable FTTN.  Successfully exceeded corporate goals.

·   Coordinated external vendor contractors and separate internal organization projects.  Managed proof of concept project for a new storage methodology for Data warehouse solutions for data flow and data collection. 

·   Managed efforts to ensure that web based features could be presented in the more restrictive set-top box setting.

·   Successfully integrated multiple groups’ interactions to enable features in a fast paced deployment environment adhering to the SDLC.  (primarily using Waterfall methodology and some Agile)

·   Solely accountable for business and technical cable network security architecture requirements (including encryption requirements) for Interactive TV product distributed over 16 external vendors. 

·   Worked with GUI team to ensure that the user interface for entering and maintain security information was adhered to and implemented in a user friendly manner.

  Senior Systems Engineer/Architect Wireless

Small systems analysis and architecture infrastructure engineering team member interacting with various business partners as well as product management and marketing.  Created high level systems requirements through the functional architecture specifications.

·               Prepared business analysis, concentrating on market costing and overall architecture issues.  Technical liaison during potential client interviews.

·               Architected, managed, and prepared numerous deployed projects that included industry (e.g. Ericsson, Nokia, etc.) interface and integration test plans/Use Cases and specifications for the GPRS industry.  Incorporating the TCP/IP protocol suite into packet switching framework of GPRS.  Full SDLC lifecycle.

·               Lead systems architect for wireless location technology product to be in compliance with the FCC for E911 location requirements for GSM.

·               Created GSM architecture requirements for wireline CLASS features and data, including VOIP.  Authored E911 and supplementary services for a DECT based network over a GR-303 interface.

·               Principal architect of user interface and functional design requirements for user handset.   Managed software engineers in implementing the architecture.

Patent 6,510,315 – A method for maintaining a radio interface for E911 calls when the user prematurely disconnects.

Patent 6,366,772  – Covers the ability to deliver Caller Identification Information over an analog interface and a conversion from in-band to out-of-band signaling.
