Senior FTTP Engineer (Nov. 2004 – May 22, 2010)
Achieved outside the plant F1 engineer position for consistently providing excellent
performance doing F2 projects. Position held until promoted to quality Inspector.
Responsibilities involved reviewing blueprints to ensure path availability for construction crew
to pull fiber through existing conduit facilities, and to engineer fiber optic service from
Verizon’s central offices to the distribution boxes for all of northern Virginia.
Developed F2 schematics using AutoCAD, to include fiber splice plans and as-built fiber network
documentation. Prepared cost estimates and schedules for new fiber and lit capacity
purchases. Performed fiber optic network planning to distribute fiber from hubs to telephone
