Designed Engineering packages for the placing of fiber backbones and electronics. Determined fiber sizing, path and underground substructure requirements for fiber loops in an outside plant. Planned economical SONET rings with sufficient capacity to accommodate future demands. Conducted customer site-survey to ensure that necessary environmental conditions were met. Responsible for choosing the route of the ring, analyzing substructure and deciding the placement of the line. Work with government agencies to acquire access, permits, information and to make sure that all underground systems are being designed according to regulations. Negotiate with various local communications customers regarding access, service parameters and the coordination of installation.

As a contractor to GTE, responsible for conceptualizing and coordinating the planning and installation of modern telecommunications systems with numerous transmission media, including; T-1 multiplexor network and fiber optic cables.
