·   Worked with Xcel Energy Engineers to design, provision, and deliver on private network and/or over leased lines communications solutions for Electric, Oil and Gas remote instrumentation monitoring including Gas or Electrical Telemetry, Protective Relays, Bridged Circuits, Alarming, Video Monitoring, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), Emergency and Disaster Recovery Circuits (2012 Colorado Floods) using P4, Image, CIMTX, Remedy, AutoCAD LT, Visio, GE/Smallworld-GIS.

 

·   Designed circuits to FRAD’s (Frame Relay Access Devices) and RTU’s (Remote Terminal Units), Electrical Power and Substations, Gas Regulators, and Gas Compressor Stations. Worked with supervisors and field techs to complete orders.

 

·   Ordered AT&T AVPN T1’s and Qwest/Centurylink DIA T1’s to remote offices for LAN/WAN connectivity, Gas Detection Reporting, and peripheral connectivity.

·   Ordered leased lines from AT&T and Qwest/Centurylink using Image ordering system.  Tracked and escalated orders when necessary.  Closed orders and added new circuit assets to Remedy and CIMTX operating systems.  Ordered Disconnects and then retired assets in the appropriate databases.  Used Visio, AutoCAD LT, and GE/Smallworld-GIS to create and update drawings.

 

·   Worked on MPLS to AVPN conversion project.

·   Worked with Aviat Microwave on a project to convert 100+ analog microwave sites to digital using AutoCAD and Visio to create drawings, Excel software to track circuits.

·   Worked with Ubisense on a project to build comprehensive database in GE/Smallworld-GIS (Geographic Information System) to reflect entirety of Xcel Energy network.
