Engineered and implemented a Sonet WAN for East Coast MCI WorldCom area
spanning from DC to NJ. Cut over all service riding on Nortel fiber to
new Fujitsu Flash Wave systems with zero service interruptions or
downtime. Reduced dependency on AutoCAD by implementing Micro Station
as the drawing tool of choice.

Installed, tested, and turned up 30+ Nortel nodes for Qwest Communications in
an area spanning from Salt Lake City to Reno. Served as team lead for
all provisioning, commissioning, and optimization testing on each node in the
Qwest network. Received “On the Spot” recognition from the Qwest senior
director of operations in the West.

Completed software testing of Release 12.0 for Verizon ahead of deadline for
Tellabs Inc. Ensured all system/ test beds in the Dallas lab met
Verizon requirements. Guided the Dallas lab through a quality audit,
achieving above-passing results.

Built out a fiber optic network spanning eight states and multiple service
carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, BellSouth, and Qwest, for Cinergy
Communications; completed all assigned projects prior to the service turn-up
date.

Completed system-level inter-operability testing with major equipment
manufacturers, including Cisco, Nortel, Fujitsu, and Alcatel, during
Metro-Optix lab trials. Directed all testing in a Verizon lab trial in
Massachusetts. Successfully coordinated participation in tradeshows,
including Supercomm and Fiber Ops.

2009 – Present
Responsible for all LEC circuit delivery and builds within the
Clearwire 4G
WiMax Network for the Baltimore/DC Market. Managed LEC Team to
ensure on time FOC (firm order commitment) delivery of T1/DS3 circuits to all
microwave and stranded cell sites. Assisted Commissioning Department
with all circuit provisioning and turn ups. Responsible for MOP (method of
procedure) creation of cut overs, LEC to microwave conversions, backhaul
conversions, T1 to DS3 conversions, and maintenance window activities.
Collaborated with Field Operations Group on test and site acceptance of
Ceterus 8212 / 1530, Ericsson Node B, and Nokia Ultra Site Flexi. Functioned
as primary contact to operations on certain outage recovery
assignments. Planned with Construction Group of cable installations, H
Frame extensions, trenching and demarc placements.
Tellabs Inc.
Project Manager
2006 – 2009
Oversee all network build-out and configuration design
activities for the FTTP Dallas lab. Wrote MOPs for all optical circuit
migrations / cutovers. Rack and stack of all vendor equipment. Configured and
provisioned Tellabs 8865, Tellabs DMAX 1120/1000, and all Tellabs ONTs (SFU
and MDU), Juniper M7, Cisco Catalyst, Sun Solaris, Sun Fire V100, and Nortel
OC-48. Responsible for team scheduling and work progress tracking. Performed
Installations, commissioning, QA testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
Designed signal flow diagrams to document each system’s wiring. Managed
daily lab operational and maintenance functions, including power augments,
purchase orders, contractor/ facility supervision, and test engineer
equipment needs. Acted as the single point of contact for support to
the system verification test and field operations group.
Cinergy Communications

Planned and led all site build outs and augments, including
fiber to the premises, DWDM, OCn, DSn, and wireless cell sites throughout the
Midwest. Deployed CDMA, GSM, and 802.11b products at customer
sites. Performed site survey, site acceptance, and quality assurance
functions for all installations. Generated engineering scopes of work
(SOWs), methods of procedure (MOPs), and network diagrams. Distributed
requests for quotes (RFQs) to vendors and handled all purchase orders (POs)
