Planning and Design on Verizon’s national ‘Fiber to the Premise’ (FTTP) project in the Eastern and Central PA region. 

Methodology employs use of the Verizon LEIS service database as a mechanism to develop a Fiber Optic distribution network as an overlay to the existing Wire Center OSP infrastructure.  Scope of project is design of feeder structure with the capability of service delivery (Voice, Video, Internet Access) to residential and business end-users within Central Office Serving Area boundaries.

              As Engineer/Planner duties include equipment specification, Fiber Distribution Area definition, hub location selection, backbone structure design, splicing design, development of coverage maps, schematic drawings, and preparation of project data packages for use by field survey crews.
