Cablevision corporation (New York and New Jersey)                                                                              May 2013 -              

Project manager – WiFi Deployment: Responsible to project manage the main construction activities associated with the deployment of a WiFi network in NYC for public access. Objectives include the application of the highest standard of construction quality and the acceptance and testing of individual projects before handover to the city of NY. The position is responsible for constant and effective interaction with the construction contractors and the preparation of presentation material for upper management. Project Management principles are utilized on a daily basis to track activities and to insure projects are built and delivered on time and with the quality expected

 

JetLun Corporation                                                                                                                             2008 – 2013

Project Manager. Responsible for the evaluation and testing of Jetlun’s products to be used in business and

residential applications for effective energy management. Interfaced with energy utilities and other clients for product trials and potential commercial deployments. Lead the User Acceptance Texting process for a trial in Atlanta, Georgia.

§            Positions of different levels of responsibility in the Planning, Engineering and Opertions organizations

 

Director – Technology, Verizon Technology Organization (2003-2007)

§         Lead a team of engineers responsible for the investigation and testing of wireless and customer premise devices for     introduction into Verizon’s FIOS and Broadband networks.

§         Presented the in-home architecture for Verizon’s FTTP deployment. Initiatives included the testing and acceptance of the Broadband Home Router (BHR) and testing of multiple wired and wireless technologies including Ethernet, WiFi, HomePlug and others.

§         Conducted  feasibility studies to deploy wireless broadband capabilities in areas where DSL had proven to be costly and or wired facilities were not available. Presented economic and technical studies to upper management.

§         Lead trials and deployment of broadband wireless facilities in multiple locations in the US. Lead efforts to introduce WIMAX technology in Verizon’s territory              

§         Directed the preparation of technical and financial evaluation plans for the deployment of broadband facilities in several locations across Verizon’s territories

 

Director - Operations , Verizon International Inc. - Mexico / Iusacell (2001-2003)

§         Lead a team of 260 employees responsible for the planning, engineering, implementation and operation of a wireless and wireline nationwide network that included 1100 base stations, 6 switches, 600 microwave links and a 1200 miles long fiber optic network

§   Successfully met and exceeded all operational and financial performance targets every year

§         Received several company commendations for turning the network organization from the worst performing to the premier wireless operator in Mexico

 

Head of Operations   Excelcomindo - Indonesia (1999-2001)

§         Verizon representative in Excelcomindo’s management team operational responsibility for the network organization

§   Responsible for the operations and expansion of a GSM network in Java, Bali and Sumatra

§         Lead a team of employees responsible for the planning, engineering, optimization and expansions of the Outside Plant and wireless GSM network which included 500 base stations, 4 switches, and 1000 miles of fiber optic cable and multiple microwave hops

Director of Operations, Mexico / Iusacell (1997-1999)

§         Lead Bell Atlantic’s efforts in Mexico to assume management control in the network organization

§         Managed the construction of Inter-Office and loop fiber facilities within the region

§      Accomplishments included: conversion of regional networks from analog to digital, integration of various disparate networks and organizations and ultimately assuming network responsibilities for a large region in Central Mexico turning the regions into efficient units with the best operational results in Iusacell

 

 

Associate Director, Bell Atlantic International Wireless (1994-1997)

§      Lead technical efforts in the business development unit of BAIW for opportunities outside the US for Bell Atlantic

§      During this period worked on multiple business development and operational assignments in Italy and China; where as part of the bid team we successfully won a nationwide GSM license and participated in the design and implementation of the backhaul facilities in northern and central Italy.

§      Assumed leadership role in the construction of the wireless infrastructure including cellular tower, BSC and switching buildings, microwave routes, Outside Plant facilities and others. 

 

Area Marketing Specialist,  Bell Atlantic New Jersey    (1993-1994)

§         Consulted with medium and large businesses in the area representing and selling Bell Atlantic’s products

§         Provided liaison between Marketing and Outside Plant Engineering departments  

 

Outside Plant Field Supervisor, (Line and Splicing) Bell Atlantic New Jersey (1988-1993)

§      Managed outside plant technicians responsible for placing, splicing and maintaining OSP copper and fiber facilities

§      Re-engineered processes for job management and technician dispatch. Held responsibilities in different work centers in northern NJ to manage OSP, installation and maintenance technicians

 

Outside Plant Engineering (1985-1987) New Jersey Bell

§      OSP engineer in the Jersey City district responsible for engineering the local copper and fiber facilities for consumer and business customers as required by demand. Responsibilities included the timely and economical engineering of outside plant routine and specific estimates along with the appropriate financial studies to warrant the investments

 

Network Planning and Engineering (1982-1985) New Jersey Bell

§      Responsible for the planning and engineering of Hi-Cap interoffice facilities in specific areas of northern New Jersey

§      Exposed to fiber optics, analog and digital radio. Prepared, submitted and presented multi million dollar business cases for senior management approval
