WORK HISTORY
Engineering Technician/Senior CADD Specialist
November 2006 – Present

Rd
North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118
Phone: (501)-771-8720
Supervisor: Mr. Tim Sneed
As
an Engineering Technician/Senior CADD Specialist for a Department of Defense
Contractor, I support the U.S. Army 63rd Regional Support Command, by
providing timely and accurate Computer Aided Drafting and Design(CADD)
applications and data collection in support of their Engineering Directorate
(Director of Public Works/General Engineers). These directorates manage the
sustainment, repair, maintenance and space utilization of over two-hundred
(200) physical facilities, covering a 7-state area, as well as new
Military Construction (MILCON) projects, and the disposal and disposition of
over thirty-five (35) BRAC projects within the region.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, producing
original detailed drawings for new construction projects, as well as
modifying drawings for add-on construction or retrofit projects, and
maintenance of the Command's Facility Site-Plan and drawing databases.
Under the supervision of our General Engineers and Project Officers, I
assist in the design and completion of original drainage plans, Privately
Owned Vehicle (POV) and Military Equipment (MEP) parking lots for numerous
facilities, a semi trailer warehouse turn-around lane, and working with our
General Engineer, added electrical upgrade plans to architectural drawings,
while complying with established engineering precedents and practices.
Furthermore, I am responsible for researching existing drawing files,
consisting of architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans and converting
them from paper to electronic files in Microstation XM, and AutoCad. Also,
provide updated floor plans and site plans to internal Engineer Sections in
order to complete Scopes of
Work and Spec development for construction, custodial, grounds maintenance
service contracts, and maintenance and repair projects.
I
am also responsible for accurate rendering of space utilization diagrams,
using various electronic data gathering equipment used for electronic
space-analysis, and laser equipment for checking and verifying square
footages of buildings while documenting data to ensure the accuracy of
building and site plans after renovations. Responsibilities also include the
completion of site plans for future and on-going construction projects using
the Global Positioning System (GPS) and related software. Position and duties
require numerous facility site-visits (Site Investigations and Inspections)
in order to validate and modify existing data, and electronic photography for
inclusion into data base and construction projects..
In additon, I also act as special projects point of contact, for this
major Army Reserve Command, and possess the capability to work independently
with very little supervision.
I am experienced and familiar with AutoCad, Microstation, GPS/GIS and its'
supporting software.

customer service oriented team. I was also responsible for the hiring and
training of new employees. Along with these duties, I completed the
appropriate paper work, sales goals, and end of month reports for the store.
It was my job to be a good role model for my other six employees, and show a
great deal of customer service to the stores
customers.
CADD
Operator, Wellsco,
Inc.
June 1999 – August 2005
1707 Linwood Dr
Paragould,
Arkansas 72450
Phone:
(870)-236-1080
Supervisor:
Mr. Chuck Roming
Utilized
the AutoCad and Microstation J CADD softwares to perform Computer Aided
Drafting and Design for inside and outside plant construction drawings for
the Verizon and Southwestern Bell Telephone companies. Read and reviewed
Outside Plant (OSP) engineer rough drawn site maps, technical drawings, and
field notes to construct detailed CADD work prints to be used by construction
crews in the field. This included the Verizon FTTP ( Fiber to the Premise) in
California, Texas, and Florida. At other times I was part of a massive paper
to computer records conversion in the New England states. While working on a
massive backlog work order project in 2001, I was sent to Washington and
Idaho to teach and help Verizon engineers learn to “pre-post” the work orders
they were constructing. Along with these multiple projects, it was my job to
keep accurate records, and keep in constant contact with OSP engineers to
gather specific details, construct material lists, and make any needed last
minute changes to the drawings. I have also been involved in the Technical
Database side of the telephone systems. I was given access to Verizon and old
GTE database records and cleaned, corrected, and maintained the telephone records
in major metropolitan areas of the United States. At the beginning of the
CADD projects, it was my duty to use surveyed site plots, county and city
maps, or rough drawn subdivision layouts, and convert these into useable
digitized electronic landbase files. At the beginning of 2004 I was head of
Quality Control for the Verizon East Offshore Project, and with this, I was a
key contact at Wellsco for the two companies working overseas completing the
conversion.
