Network Inventory/Design Metasolv Analyst

Network inventory duties include creating equipment specifications, cross connects, and circuit designs into Metasolv M6 to help in migration of data for TDS. This project includes Remote Cabinets through Central Office build outs from DS0 to OC-192. Responsible for building out Relay racks, Shelves and cards as well as MDF blocks through use of Metasolv Software. Network Design aspect includes putting in SONET, DLC, DSL and PON systems. Additional requirements included inputting Equipment Work Orders (EWOs) into Metasolv for build-outs, installs and equipment removal.

Circuit Provising

Creating CLRs and DLRs taken from METASOLV M6 software which are then mapped and put into service or disconnected. From DS0 up to OC-192. Through use of Preside, Netsmart 1500 and 500, Putty, Telnet and TL1 commands. Equipment includes Nortel OC-48 OC-192 and Optera3500, Fujitsu 150 4100 4500, Tellabs TITAIN 5500, Lucent DEXCS and Alcatel. Testing for traffic using React. Provisioning SONET and ATM for Frontier's service migration from Verizon.

Fiber Network Field Tech

Install, remove, rearrange, program, test, troubleshoot and maintain fiber network services. Install and configure routers, set top boxes. May assist with installation of PC software as needed and ensure proper configuration of the customer's PC. Interact with the Fiber Solution Center as needed. Install appropriate inside wire/cable. Install, maintain and repair outside and inside fiber equipment/facilities including inside wiring and fiber jumpers at the distribution hub. Interface with customer to negotiate the placement of equipment; may assist with account registration, e-mail, and web access, and training the customer on how to use the new equipment. Ensure customer satisfaction. Respond to inquiries and provide follow-up, as necessary. Interpret schematic work order drawings to determine job specifications and installation needs. Order and/or obtain required equipment. Effect problem solving where appropriate. Utilize various test equipment to analyze equipment trouble and take appropriate maintenance action.Also Acted as Call Center Customer service representative for six month. Utilizing my field experience to guide customers through technical issue resolution and education.
