KEY PROJECTS

•Service Technician – Responsible for the installation and maintenance of Verizon’s new fiber network (FIOS).  My duties included placement of new aerial and buried fiber service wire, installation of network equipment and a battery backup system in addition to running CAT5 and RG6 coax to various locations in both residential and business environments.  Responsible for powering up network and making sure all installed equipment was functioning properly as well as troubleshooting and repairing any issues that arose.  Maintained very low repeater rates and was always willing to assist fellow technicians or volunteer for overtime.

 

•FTTP Field Engineer – Responsible for verification of the FTTP Field crews information in association with Verizon’s internal records.  Determined existing DA (Distribution Area) boundaries via LEIS reports and Plat tapering systems.  Existing DA maps from Verizon were outdated and needed to be reestablished for FTTP Deployment by Verizon Planning Staff to effectively establish FDA boundaries.  Daily tasks involved resolving issues from records and field gathered data and providing solutions.

 

•FTTP Field Technician – Responsible for gathering and inventorying of Verizon’s existing infrastructure for implementation of its new FTTP Deployment in Virginia.  Presently over 30 wire centers have been completed.  Used a variety of resources to create and depict the infrastructure to real world GIS maps.

•OSP/ISP Technician / Supervisor – Responsible for the installation and maintenance of residential phone lines in Metro Washington DC, VA and PA (both from the Central Office and or Serving Terminal to the Jack.) Fulfilled, supervisory detail in absence of assigned existing supervisor.

•OSP/ISP Technician / Supervisor – Responsible for the installation and maintenance of residential and business telephone lines.  Supervisory detail included interviewing of new hires, skills assessment, health and safety training, productivity and quality reporting, maintenance and fleet inventory, routing and coordination of payroll and daily task and job assignment detail.

 

•OSP/ISP Supervisor – United States Navy, Telephone Installation Supervisor.  Supervised an eight man team responsible for installing over 700 vital telephone circuits two months ahead of schedule.

•PBX Telephone Installation Technician – United States Navy. Responsible for the installation of AT&T’s Definity 75 PBX Telephone System and rewiring of the ships main cross connect field.
