Technician –
Responsible for the installation and maintenance of Verizon’s new fiber
network (FIOS). My duties included placement of new aerial and buried
fiber service wire, installation of network equipment and a battery backup
system in addition to running CAT5 and RG6 coax to various locations in both
residential and business environments. Responsible for powering up
network and making sure all installed equipment was functioning properly as
well as troubleshooting and repairing any issues that arose. Maintained
very low repeater rates and was always willing to assist fellow technicians

Field Engineer –
Responsible for verification of the FTTP Field crews information in
association with Verizon’s internal records. Determined existing DA
(Distribution Area) boundaries via LEIS reports and Plat tapering
systems. Existing DA maps from Verizon were outdated and needed to be
reestablished for FTTP Deployment by Verizon Planning Staff to effectively
establish FDA boundaries. Daily tasks involved resolving issues from

infrastructure for implementation of its new FTTP Deployment in Virginia.
Presently over 30 wire centers have been completed. Used a variety of
