Wireless Devices (approx $1M annual expense savings) Lead
Project Manager of the Centralized Wireless Project for entire VP
Organization, consisting of five director teams, about 4K employees, and over
5K wireless devices. This project consisted of me discovering and investigating
the problems associated with system errors, inaccurate end-user device
assignments, and billing account errors which lead to a huge wireless expense
for our field team’s cell phones, blackberries, and aircards. I lead this
project by evaluating the existing problems/processes, determining the
appropriate solutions, and developing/implementing a centralized field
process to standardize all wireless devices ordering moving forward. I
constantly communicated deadlines and changes with the field teams and
constantly interacted with Corporate Telecommunication SPOCS and Verizon
Wireless IT Teams. The project involved continuous self manual clean-up of
account and end-user errors from constant report comparison & non-usage
monitoring, as well as, importing several clean-up reports to our internal
and external VZW systems. I also worked with Verizon IT in monitoring &
analyzing the best wireless rate plans based on usage and features needed for
every individual device. I moved the entire VP Organization to shared minute
plans which contributed to huge expense savings. Much of this project
consisted of my personal time (nights/weekends), which proved my dedication
to successful completion. 2004-2007
