·   Develop high level views of FiOS build program budget, build targets and metrics.

·   Track Local Franchise Agreement compliance and support the legal department with regulatory filings

·   Technical Team Leader responsible for developing capital budget requests to support $2 billion strategic network investments for Ethernet, legacy data circuits and Fiber To The Premise [FTTP]. Armed with only a 6 person team of Senior Engineers, Database Managers and Forecasters we devised cost models and demand forecasts for a variety of Consumer, Carrier and Enterprise customer services, encompassing strategic plans as well as services growth for existing markets in Verizon domestic footprint.

·   Supported Geographic Information Systems [GIS] functions, database management [DBM] and computer programming requirements in NCM

Network Engineer / Network Capital Management (05/05-10/08)

·   Develop Core Growth and FTTP cost models to accurately project capital requirements. Incorporate up to date forecasts, technologies, processes and cost structure. Complete updates and run models in accordance with schedules.

·   Interface with contacts in sourcing, accounting, finance, Verizon Enhanced Communities, field experts and other key contacts to obtain up to date information for use in the model.

·   Identify efficiencies to improve business profitability including all components of capital spending including Material, Labor and Contractor. Partner with other organizations to use model data to drive business results, e.g. labor productivity

 

Network Engineer / HiCap System Support (02/01-05/05)

·   Train and provide system support for Outside Plant Engineering HiCap Provisioning.
Systems supported included RequestNet, MagicNet, LocQuest, BuildNet and Trunk Integrated Record Keeping System- Facility and Equipment Planning System [TIRKS FEPS].

·   Projects managed the labor relations Technology Change requirements to ensure planned enhancements to the RequestNet system proceeded smoothly. This included determining scope and effect of changes, acting as liaison between Labor Relations and field managers in CATC, CPC and OSPE then monitoring required milestones to meet contractual timelines.

·   Define, develop and implement changes necessary to automate the provisioning of HiCap circuits from RequestNet into Telcordia Operations Support Systems.

 

Specialist / Operations Support System (10/97-02/ 2001)

·   Teamed with vendor and peers to create business processes to support core business applications.

·   Intra-Company consultant with expert knowledge of the outside plant inventory and service delivery Operations Support System – Loop Facilities Assignment and Control System [LFACS].

·   Provided technical support to regulatory team for items such as third party attestation and UNE Remand Interrogatories in support of Verizon’s successful 271 Long Distance Filing with the Federal Communications Commission [FCC].  

 

Outside Plant Engineer/ Technical Support Specialist (7/91-3/96 & 5/97-9/97)

·   Successfully project managed multi-million dollar projects on time and on budget. 

·   Western New York expert in engineering and provisioning special service circuits.

·   Responsible for technology selection and investment direction.

·   Able to define, communicate, and fulfill the project's goals and break complex issues into manageable parts.  

·   Engineering project manager for inventory recovery process, which recovered $60k in facilities within the first half year.
