·         Led the Engineering and Construction teams for the AT&T’s Ethernet to the Cell site project in Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas.

·         Coordinated with the local vendors to maintain the schedule and roll out of the areas where the 4G LTE services were to be implemented.

·         Held weekly meetings with the various ETTC teams and stakeholders to ensure the schedule was properly maintained and potential roadblocks identified and resolved.

·         Processed the required data in eCRM/ROME to insure proper order flow for AT&T Mobility. 

·         Manage various Opteman, Gigaman, and other fiber BAU projects for AT&T Mobility and AT&T Internet Services and hold Kick-Off meetings to begin each project and establish the schedule for completion.

·         Responsible for Location Assessments with the MDU/MTU property owner(s) to ensure all requirements were met for the installation of the fiber cables on the property and in the building(s).

·         Prepared cost estimates for proposed fiber overlay installation to ensure it met budgetary requirements.

·         Led the AT&T Cable Mining Project in San Antonio, Austin, Waco, Amarillo, Lubbock, Odessa, and Corpus Christi, Texas.

·         Established methods and procedures to ensure the security of the AT&T network with no loss of service.

·         In charge of the evaluation of additional cable removal opportunities throughout the state of Texas. 

·         Acted as the AT&T single point of contact and representative during all copper cable removals.

·         Managed the activities of the Central Office, Engineering, and Construction departments to ensure all steps were completed prior to the removal of the copper cables.

·         Provided oversight and coordinated with the vendor AT&T utilized for the removal of copper cables, Resource Recycling Technologies (RRT), including monthly audits to ensure all quality standards and processes were followed.

·         Responsible for the Engineering and Construction for Verizon's Residential Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) Engineering Job Orders and Work Prints for the installation of the fiber network for Verizon's FIOS Product in Keller, Plano, Carrollton, and Garland, Texas.

·         Managed various Consulting Engineering firms, approved all Work Order packages, and maintained schedules with regard to release of the Work Prints. 

·         Led Kick-Off Meetings, and weekly Status Meetings, coordinated with the various municipalities with regard to Permits, City Regulations, and Customer Complaints. 

·         Acted as liaison between Engineering and Construction to resolve or remove any roadblocks to ensure the Build Schedule was maintained.

 

Network Engineer (Contractor) Coppell, Texas                               February 2004 – April 2005

·         Responsible for the design of the Fiber To The Premise (FTTP) project for Verizon Communications.  This included the preparation of the Engineering Work Orders, Work Prints, Permits, and any other documents required for the installation of the FTTP network in a specific Wire Center. 

·         Gathering of field notes, meeting with the various municipalities or other regulatory agencies to get the required permit and installation requirements, plan for any road moves that are scheduled in the proposed build, and coordinating with various engineering vendors to maintain quality and schedule requirements. 

·         Other duties included coordinating with construction to maintain the work schedule, meeting with customers to resolve any issues, attending weekly staff meetings to discuss scheduling and/or other issues that occur during the build, and resolve any roadblocks that may be encountered.

·         Managed the network upgrades for AT&T Wireless’ 3G Project in the major metro area’s in the 5 state SWB territory, Verizon’s ‘B8ZS’ Project in Houston & San Antonio, and VoiceStream (now T-Mobile) switch upgrades Oklahoma.

·         Responsible for multiple, multi-million dollar, inter-exchange projects for the Wireless Account Team and assumed the role of the Account Manager during implementation for customers in the 5-state SWB area.

·         Managed the implementation of Local Number Portability for all wireless carriers in the 5-state SWB area.

·         My role as project manager required coordination with various workgroups such as the IECC, ASC CPC, Engineering, Central Office, Trunking, Switching, Construction, as well as outside vendors, the customers’ technicians, and other workgroups as necessary.

·         Communicate with various levels of upper management through oral and written reports as to the schedule and status of projects.
