Prepares high quality, accurate, reinforcing steel placement drawings, through the interpretation of engineer’s plans and specifications. Drawings conform to industry and company standards to provide necessary information for productive fabrication and field placement.

 

Senior CAD Tech - Sun Technical Corp. (Contract), Tennessee Valley Authority 2012 - 2014

Builds, updates, checks and corrects CAD drawings for the Watts Bar Unit 2 construction completion project for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Plant Design, and I&C.

 

Designer I, II, III, Bechtel Power Corporation 2006 - 2012

Assisted in the preparation of Civil/Structural Engineering Construction Plans for Nuclear and Fossil power plants. Generated program drawings to produce structural steel, concrete, rebar, and general arrangement drawing to the client’s specifications.

 

Outside Plant Engineer (Contractor), Volt Telecoms 2006

Designed and drafted traffic control plans for NEXT G corp. Assisted in the design and drafting of conduit routes for AT&T for permitting purposes, and some redesign for Verizon’s FTTP project.

 

Outside Plant Engineer (Contractor), TEK Systems – EF&I Group 2006

Tasked as the Field Engineer of the design of fiber optic system layouts for Verizon’s FTTP project. Compiled field notes, obtained Right of Way information, and designed an efficient cable path. Designated the placement of hubs, cables, and terminals in aerial, buried, and underground locations.

 

CAD Drafter and Engineering Field Technician, Ryan and Associates 2006

Performed structural, civil, and geo-technical drawings, including land development and grading designs, floor plan layouts, along with drainage, and sewer designs. Assisted in design of retaining walls and long span culverts.

 

Engineering Field Technician, Geo-Technology Associates 2005 - 2006

Performed field proctors and cement samples testing.  Used a Nuclear Density Gauge to check for moisture content and compaction in soils, asphalt, and soil-cements. Reviewed site plans to ensure that the construction crews were performing in compliance with local municipality standards.

 

CAD Drafter - Gibson and Associates (Contract), Emerson Network Power 2005

Designed and drafted the outside plant utilities, for Emerson’s entry into Verizon’s FTTP project. Trained and assisted in the field notes and overall planning stages for this project. Developed a training program, manual, and reference guide for the IDDS drafting portion of the project.

 

CAD Drafter/OSP Designer - ITC Services Group, Inc. (Contract), Bechtel Telecom 2004 - 2005

Handled the layout and design of Fiber Distribution Hubs for the Verizon Fios project. Helped determine cable counts for residential areas and future counts for multiple dwelling units in commercial areas. Built permit prints for new buried areas using.
