Professional Experience

 

LTS- Ledcor Technical Services – Technical Professional                  (March 2013 - Present)

 

Lead Installation Lead Tech – Team lead, responsible for the Installation, Test and turn up of Infinera equipment to include – XTC, DTN, OTC within various customer locations. Installation of cabinets, relay racks, D/C / power plants, and fiber management systems. Run fiber cross connections, Cad 5 cabling. Provision nodes as per Infinera specs. Label and document all devices as per customer requirements. Perform site surveys.

 

TT Exelis (TAC-SWACAA) - OSP Engineer                                     (March 2012 – March 2013)

 

Install, provision, troubleshoots and repairs a broad range of telecommunications cabling media to include coaxial, fiber optic, Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP), main feeder cable (200,400,600 pair etc.). Installs cable racks, conduit, panduit, and other support structures for the protection and aesthetics of cables. Tests cable for signal quality, continuity, and availability. Terminates and splices both copper and fiber optic cable. Pull telecommunications cabling through a wide variety of building architectures (both permanent and temporary, including tactical) through buried conduit (outside plant) routed between buildings, telephone poles (aerial runs), ceilings, raised floors and cable troths.

 

Cable Vision/Light Path – Field Engineer (April 2007 – April 2010)

 

. Install, test and turn-up Cisco Routers (15454's, 1841, 851, 831) for customer access to the Internet.  Assemble and wire components as per Optimum Light Path specs to include various multiplexers, DDM+, DDM1000, OC3, OC 12, OC 48, and Atrica noes. Provision ring configuration for cross connects through OC-12/OC 3 Hubs.  Install, provision (Atrica 2140 4100, A100,Cisco 15454)  at customers or Optimum Light Path sites; test VOIP, Ethernet private line's (PRI) insuring the integrity of lines and power receptacles

Coordinate and provide technical assistance to customers, vendors, field technicians in the planning,

provisioning, installation and maintenance of Fiber Optic Switches, Cisco, Nortel, Fujitsu, Ciena,

Lucent Bandwidth Managers, high-speed data circuits, VOIP applications and equipment. Troubleshoot equipment and network problems, remove and replace defective modules, tracks spares and ensures repair. and D/C power plant with Inverters, rectifiers, and battery strings.

 

Level3 Communications–Field Engineer (May 2002 – Jun 2005)

 

Duties include provisioning, installing, testing and troubleshooting of circuits within our facilities to include Optical OC3- OC 192, POTS Lines, DS1’s, DS3’s, Ethernet cross connections, domestic/international SONET circuits, and VIOP. Work on Network builds, including rack and stacking, test and turning up of FLM 2400’s, FLM 150’s.Troubleshooting; DS1, DS3 and SONET/SDH Test and turn-ups; Alcatel 1630, 1631, 1633, and 1680 Digital Cross Connect Systems and Dark Fiber testing with O.T.D.R. Terminate and run various cables from ethernet, coax, and fiber. Test and validate connectivity as well.
