Verify light levels from OLT to ODN are within spec. If not in spec, no
light, low light need to troubleshoot. Need passing light levels from OLT to
ODN before testing cross connects. - Verify light
levels at ODN. +2.5 dbm - +2.3 dbm. Confirm. - Verify
light levels at Cross connects. -16.01 dbm or less is passing. -
Need to verify cross connects are connected to the correct splitter
(1x8) in the ODN by disconnecting the fiber jumper feeding the cross
connect at ODN verifying a LOS. -
If port has failed and not within specs clean fiber jumpers, bulkheads etc.
along the path to improve light levels. Shoot an OTDR trace from ODN to
cross connect in case the Contract splicers need for troubleshooting
purposes. - All results to be captured and recorded on the excel spreadsheet
provided for that NODE. -
All test results and OTDR traces will be evaluated knowledge in the use
of SDA-6300 Meter able to run a Docsis test. Meet with City inspectors,
builders and home owners , Meet with Cox inspectors, leadership and
