Prepares detailed design for Centurylink in OSP-FM like IPTV grooming, RT placement, removing bridgetap, piece out, copper cable and pedestal replacement also with knowledge with Bidmaster and Fireworks.

 

Also with knowledge in FTTCS design for AT&T in mechanized drawing (ARES), the design involves placing of fiber to the cellsite, in underground, aerial and buried cable. Placing of conduit if necessary and computing pole loads (OCALC calculation) if required.

 

PROJECT  ENGINEER

NORTHSTAR Communication Group – Nov.8, 2006 up to Nov.30, 2008

 

The works involve taking engineering field notes and creating the mechanized ( ARES ) drawings for the placement of the VRAD ( fiber node) and conditioning of the copper cable and terminals within the VRAD serving area ( F2 Conditioning using MWP- Mechanized Work Print ). The conditioning consists of the elimination of bridge taps and loaded copper, terminal and NID replacement. Also doing field survey for possible location of  VRAD  for permit drawings to be submitted to city munincipal.

 

Attended ARES Training last February 15-23, 2007 under Russell Clanin Ares Instructor.

The work includes survey the assigned hub given by the VERIZON, locate the location of the hub by doing the 3 point location, get the necessary address and specify it whether it is SFU,MDU or SBU. Verify the location of the existing manhole and pole for the preparation of the design. 

 

Prepares detailed design plans and specifications which include among others size and route of cable to be installed, feed stops, size of terminals, transmission characteristics, materials specifications, and other related work of primary / feeder and secondary / distribution cable for VERIZON projects.

Coordinate permanent power connection thru respective electric cooperative for the energization of  the said Digitel GSM cell site and process all electrical bills for payment. Prepares and check detailed drawings to be submitted to Digitel for approval. Do site hunting/site survey for a possible location of the proposed cell site. Rectify all comments of Digitel for approval of the said detailed drawings. Coordinate with sub contractors  and follow up necessary plans to be submitted to Digitel.

     network . Preparation of  MDF allocation  and cable vault lay out. Make secondary cable relief  if any. Preparation of secondary red line drawings. And preparation of red line drawings for conduit network based on existing conduit route from Saudi Telecom

Conduct physical inspection, monitoring and acceptance test of newly installed/rehabilitated manholes and conduits which include among others Mandrelling test and Physical measurement.  Also, conduct quantity survey of installed hardwares/facilities. Supervises the works of contractors to ensure compliance with engineering plans and specifications. Provides solutions to implementing group to problems when actual site condition will not warrant implementation as planned. Provides necessary documents, statistical information, test results, cable manholes and conduits lay-out and others that maybe required by the contractor.

 

 

              Reviews and updates demand forecast considering current developments and updates fundamental plans for cables and conduits.
