Monitored the construction of a 73 cable (Fiber Optic) raceway in the four mile long underground tunnel of BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) the steel conduit construction stretched from Oakland to San Francisco. The project consisted of six different sections including trenching underground, aerial, concrete and steel attachment. I also conducted a feasibility analysis for the potential customers of Level 3 communications.

This project required supervision of multiple inspectors and enforcing the guild-lines as dictated in the contract. Trained inspectors to understand and interpret blueprints, permits, and local jurisdictional codes. I also trained inspectors on environmental laws, inspect accuracy on construction installation, draw as-build documentations, and work related field reports. Supervised inspectors for trenching, cat plow, directional bore and fiber optic cable installation; managed and supervised PAC-BELL existing duct utilization. I also configured project analysis for accounting and punch-list completion. This project included the installation and implementation of multi-partners shared duct system, an 8,000’ bridge installation and a 4,000’ 39-duct bore under the Sacramento River and interstate 80.

I worked on a 153 mile long project overseeing the installation of a 3 HDPE system. Responsibilities include training inspectors for documentation, environmental codes, and enforcing blueprint guidelines. This includes cat-plow, trenching bores, cable pull, and manhole installation with traffic control.

Organize crew and inspector schedules. Oversee the CIP in re-engineering and redlining of the project. I also submitted projection analysis vs. anticipated budget expenditures on man-hour and construction crew project tracking. Investigate abandoned Bell utilities. Inspected POP site building connection.

Recorded plat investigation to utilize existing underground utilities and “pair –push”, designed and oversaw engineering guidelines and implementation of new customer aerial/underground cable and connections, manhole installation, power line pole replacement and installation, cross box installation, splice case and splice schematic installation and documentation, troubleshoot and reconfigure duct and pole line construction. I also acted as a representative for Bell Atlantic as “right of way agent”.
